Bibimbap (비빔밥)

I tried Bibimbap recently. It’s a popular yet simple Korean dish. Bibimbap literally means “mixed rice”. It is served as a bowl of rice topped with seasoned/sauteed/fresh vegetables, beef or chicken, a fried egg and gochujang (chili bean paste).

Here’s what it looks like. You are supposed to mix everything up before eating. But i did not do that. I just ate it like how we eat rice and dishes.

In Korean households, the dish is made out of left over rice, vegetables and meat. Guess we know how this dish originated.
