Bad Love – Episode 3

Things are beginning to get interesting in episode 3 of Bad Love. If you are watching the drama, how is it at this point for you? Do you intend to keep watching?

Kang Yong-gi (Kwon Sang-woo) is turning to be quite a cheeky fella. Despite nursing an emotional scar from his previous relationship with a certain Kim Jo-ann, he dishes our naughty remarks and his “friendship” with Na In-jung (Lee Yo-won) is heading from acquaintance to complication.

Yong-gi and his BMW: Single, handsome
Yong-gi drives around the
fisherman
village / island in a Beemer.
Yong-gi discovers In-jung supports her
ailing father and pays hefty hospital bills.

Yong-gi discovers that In-jung funds her dad’s hospital bills and his conscience gets the better of him.

Yong-gi and his ‘samchun’ (uncle).
I wonder if he is really his
uncle or just a good friend.
Again, we are not told how they met.
And is he In-jung’s uncle as well?

Yong-gi decides to help In-jung (after she was scammed by the property owner), by paying her the same amount of money for her depo$it for the property. But that does not come free. In-jung will have to cook for Yong-gi’s construction workers as payment.

Yong-gi strikes a deal with In-jung over a bottle of soju.

(Yay they get to spend more time with each other. One of the reasons why i love K-dramas is that the leads get a lot of scenes together.)

Although both act rude towards each other, there is attraction between the two. Which hot-blooded man wouldn’t be attracted to doe-eyed sweet In-sung, and which hot blooded woman wouldn’t be attracted to someone as fine as Kwon Sang-woo erm i mean Kang Yong-gi!?

They proceed to spend time together at Yong-gi’s property. To get to the said property, they need to travel by boat. (I was told by Azura from KWS’s Singapore Fan forum that filming location is in Geonggi-do, Samcheok island.)

Yong-gi: “I have no designs on your flat chest!”

On the first day itself, both Yong-gi and In-jung gets trapped on the island due to a storm.

Yong-gi and In-jung missed the boat.

Yong-gi: “I think i might have had too much to drink.
You look very pretty to me right now.
May i kiss you?”

Yeah, episode 3 ends with this scene. Do they kiss?

Some viewers might think, how come they like each other so quickly when they just met and were so rude to each other? Well, i think they were attracted very early on, but “pretended” to dislike each other.

Let’s see what happens next.

  • yea someone had already said it if you re-watch ep 2 Yong Gil and the uncle was talking and he said that if the uncle married his mother then she wouldn’t have died so young..and i think how In Jung and uncle are related/ know each other is remember that night when In Jung tried to kill herself and that man driving the truck..well i think that man was uncle..so yea..but thank’s for the summaries tho

  • hi anonymous, we are watching it on KBS World. The English subtitling is excellent.

If you are Malaysian and subscribe to Astro, it’s Channel 303. If you mean online, I don’t know where you can find Eng-subbed episodes.

where could i watch it with English sub,,,
    pls tell me
i only watched up to ep.2

I think samchun is not Yong-gi’s real uncle. If you can remeber one of the episodes where Yong-gi and samchun where seriously talking one night by the ocean…Yong-gi said how he wish samchun ended up with his dead mother…with that said, samchun is Yong-gi’s mother’s past love

  • fraulein

    to Orchid,

Haha so it’s not just singapore that gets the lousy eng sub dvds.

I would have thought we can get better quality eng subs. teehee..

  • fraulein

why do korean men like to call their women chicken related names?

rain’s cter did that in full hse, didnt he?

at the risk of sounding like a know it all twat, I guess that the planned devt of the company taking over the fishing village will bond yong-gi and injung – no?

Orchid… I recommend Hong Gil Dong.

You should download the dramas and watch with the subtitles subbed by the fansubber. I am one of them. LOL

  • I’ve read about Hong Gil Dong on Javabean’s – Dramabeans blog. Is it a new drama in Korea as well?

Yeah Clammy, what have you been doing? Downloading dramas and not watching! 😉

With all the recommendation on Hong Gil Dong, i hope it comes to KBS World. Cos i hardly download dramas to watch on my notebook. I already spend enough time on the Net updating the blog and at work. If i spend more time, i’ll get cock-eyed. 😉

Azura: Are you a huge KSW fan and admin for the Singapore Fan Forum??

Fraulein: Sometimes i buy the DVDs and the English subs are nonsense! Practically gibberish. I kid you not. It’s quite frustrating.

  • I have all the recent eps too, they aren’t too hard to find on the net. I just haven’t started watching any of them yet. With the writers strike here in the U.S., kinda waiting for a rainy tv season.

Samchun is the term for your mother’s brother. I haven’t seen the show so I don’t know what context people are putting it in though. You can address an older gentlemen who is like family as samchun too.

Koreans have titles based on each specific relationships to the person involved. It can get quite confusing. Uh.. I can list them if you want.

hee hee… samchun is just a polite way to address an older gentlemen.

Hong Gil Dong is a great… watch it. A fusion sageuk (historical). It’s best to watch it with subs. Kwan Ji Hwan is hilarious.

I see Azura here too… BIG fan of KSW LOL.

after seeing the comments maybe i will continue watching “BAD LOVE” just need to get over that draggy bump. Anyone watching Hong Gil Dong? it is funny…

  • Orchid

Fraulein: Yeah i totally agree with you about the GOOD subbing. The subtitles are very well written in this drama and i am so glad!!!

Too bad u missed the last part. Will write a recap of episode 4 tomorrow.

Anonymous: Oh…”samchun” is like “Uncle” over here in Msia. We can call anyone older “Uncle” or “Auntie”.

  • Anonymous

Orchid, I am not in S. Korea. I downloaded them as soon they are up/release.

BTW, we can call anyone “samchun” regardless if we are or not related.. it is like “ahjussi”.

  • i agree with u anonymous…i’d like to seem them together and i like when Yonggi teases In Jung…with the cheeky look… 😀

  • fraulein

Dear k-popped, thanks once again for the wonderful recap from the grateful fraulein = )

Samchun is a wise old man – to me. He knows yong-yi well and says he’s hard as nails on the exterior but has a good heart, i think that is so true.

Usu i dun take to dramas so soon, i warm up by eps 5 or 6 but darn, Bad love got me hooked from the start.

Does anyone know how many eps there are in the full series?

Does anyone else find the subtitles well written ? Esp the “i have no designs on your flat chest ” and the conversation between suhwan’s wife and mother at the hospital where they were gossiping about the country bumpkin yong gi hooked up with. The dvds I sometimes buy with eng subtitles aren’t that good

Too bad I missed the last 15 mins of ep 4 – right after suh wan’s friend and wife shared squid and soju… all because of an electricity trip that caused a blackout at home ; (

Can anyone fill me in pls ??
    Thanks in advance

yeah, it did get a bit draggy…i hope everthing turns out ok…i like seeing them together…

  • Orchid

After watching episode 4 last night, i have reason to believe that “Samchun” is really Yong-gi’s uncle. He is probably Yong-gi’s mother’s brother.

But i am not sure how Na In-jung is related to “Samchun”.

Both Yong-gi and In-jung stay with “Samchun” – how convenient.

  • Orchid

Anonymous2: How come you couldn’t continue after Episode 7? It gets draggy?

Anonymous3: You are at Ep 11? Oh wow…are you watching it in South Korea? Yeah, agree sometimes the lead characters gets on your nerves towards the middle or end of the drama series…

Champong: Heheheh…yeah share some of the love!!!

  • champong

why is injung getting all the hotties. she needs to share some of the love, especially from KSW!! hehe. ^_^

  • Anonymous

Ep 11 last night was exciting… In Jung is getting on my nerves LOL
