Boys over flowers – first F4 member chosen!
Oh there are updates on the much talked about and upcoming K-drama Boys over Flowers – 꽃보다 남자 (Hana Yori Dango). The first F4 member is said to be selected. Who’s he?
SS501‘s Kim Hyun Joong who’s also in the reality show “We got married” is said to be chosen for the role of Hanazawa Rui. So what do you think? Will he make a good Rui? Some are disappointed at the news because they do not want a popular boyband member to be selected in F4. They want someone totally unknown. Well, if you have the same thought, then you would be disappointed as it is reported that the other three F4 members would be popular personalities as well!
SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong will be Hanazawa Rui in the Korean version of Boys over flowers
Who would be chosen for the lead role, Doumyouji Tsukasa? Many think Big Bang‘s T.O.P. would be much suited for the role. I guess we won’t have long to wait to find out.
Boys over Flowers is scheduled to air in early 2009.

I LOVE HyunJoong as Rui! I think he’s good at the acting so far, and they’re all doing a good job. I also LOVE T.O.P, but I don’t think he’s suited for the Doumyouji Tsukasa lead. So I’m glad that the other boy is acting as the main lead, for Tsukasa ^_______^ personally I think that the boy acting right now is…um…cuter…

if you watched “we got married”, a korean reality show, then you will definitely agree that kim hyun joong is the perfect guy to play rui..i seriously can’t see TOP acting at all..he has too rough of an appearance..especially after watching all of big bang mv

Tohoshinki as one of the F4 members? Have you seen them act? D: I’m sorry, I love them as much as the next person, but NONE of them can act. And their looks don’t really make up for that fact. Have you SEEN their banjun dramas? OMG, it was bad.
Anyways, 😀 I think Hyunjoong will make a good Rui. TOP would make a good Doumyoji. <3

YAY I’m so happy that hyun was picked to be hanazawa rui… i swear that brought smile on my face… He’s like my fav in ss501.. and i think he will make a great Hanazawa Rui(talking to all people who said he wont) and i hope on of the members from tohoshinki is one the F4 members.
lol Looks wise I think Hyun Joong does fit Rui almost perfectly but personality wise he so is Doumiouji Tsukasa 😛 he is the dumb type…I loved Tsukasa the most of the F4 not because he was the main one but because of his dumb and random jokes

in the japanese drama i really wanted oguri shun to get the girl… so if the lead for the korean one isn’t better than hyun joong it’ll be sad because the guy i want won’t get the girl… according to the story line.
I guess I don’t mind as much that popular actors/singers/etc. will make up F4, but it would probably be better that way. The unknown actors wouldn’t have any baggage or past labels to haunt them in their role. However, I do agree that TOP would make a great Doumyoji but definitely not Hyun Joong as Rui. If he had to be cast, I would personally think he’d be better as Akira. Rui’s character has this intricate complexity of gentleness, yet masculinity that he’s known for (I’m not explaining this well, sorry!).

Yeah I think TOP would be a pretty good choice as the main lead. Kim Hyun Joon seems good too I just hope he can pull off the swagger Rui’s character has.
I kinda agree with others when they say that they want people who are not that well known but hey if you got the look and skills to pull it off then I say, “Go for it!”
Anyways, I’m just excited that they’re going to make this drama because I have already seen the other ones and I love the story. It’s just so cute. 🙂
Oh man.. I was really hoping that they wouldn’t cast people from like boybands and stuff. I mean I have absolutely nothing against Kim Hyun Joon. Yeah, he’s kinda cute. But the problem is can he act? I just afraid he won’t be able to pull off the “Rui” role. Oh well, maybe he’ll proof me wrong eventually.

I love HYD! the best drama I’ve watch!! loved the Japanese one..of course its the original!! oh and I can’t wait to see the movie!! I think its already out? ahh ok I have to search for that!!

i hope one of the F4 member will be one of the dong bang shin ki boys..think that’s impossible though cause Father SM won’t want them to spend their filming dramas when they can earn much more when doing stg else.
i think we’ll just have to wait and see. it’s like how matsumoto jun was never my favourite member of arashi but he carried the role very well (and so did all the other japanese F4 boys). now i’m not too convinced but that won’t stop me from watching the korean version. hana yori dango was too good i’m curious as to how this one would turn out 🙂

Actually I think this idol exception is alright…this kid seems to be a good choice for the drama. Though he’s more of a cool, laid-back smart-a$$. I don’t know which exact role he fits more, but I definitely can see him in this story.

In reading the manga, i completely preferred Rui to Doumyoji which is why i had such high expectations for Rui’s actor. BUT if TOP is doumyoji I wouldnt mind Hyunjoong as Rui as much, because i think i’d like doumyoji more anyway. because of TOP. ^^
i like the idea of TOP as Doumyouji tooo!!!!! im really excited for his version! Hyun joong wasn’t my first choice but he can be ok for the role. i dont hate him as rui.
i like TOP as Doumyoji, but NOT hyunjoong as Rui. If you read the manga and are familiar woth hyunjoong, he’s not… in my opinion. Oh i really hope he’s not. I dont hate him, but he is def my least fav memebr of SS501, bigbang ast’1 combined. (there are worse guys in suju tho)
