T-Max disbands

After months of speculation, Planet905 Entertainment has finally confirmed that T-Max is disbanding following the departure of group members, Shin MinChul and Joo ChanYang from the agency.

Rumors of disbandment started soon after the most popular member Kim Joon (of Boys over Flowers fame) enlisted for the military back in September.

Although the group released a new song, She’s Crying just 2 days after Kim Joon’s enlistment, the group’s popularity was not sustainable once Kim Joon left.

THE BEGINNING: T-Max’s debut single, Blooming back in 2007

T-Max, (티 맥스) which debuted in 2007, stood for Maximum ‘Triple Trinity’. It was initially made up of  Shin MinChul, Park Yun Hwa and Kim Hyung Jun (also known as Kim Joon).

The trio made its mark through Kim Joon’s success in his role in Boys over Flowers. The group’s single for the drama’s OST entitled Paradise was a hit in 2008.

Following Yun Hwa’s decision to enlist for the military in 2010, T-Max recruited two new members: former Superstar K contestant, Joo ChanYang and Park Han Bi.

In 2011, Kim Joon enlisted for the military on Sept 29.

It has been revealed that Planet905 Entertainment decided not to extend their contract with MinChul while ChanYang has also left the agency to explore other avenues in the entertainment industry (besides singing).

On the other hand, Park Han Bi is still signed with the agency.
