With Taeyang‘s single ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips‘ reaching an all-kill on charts, many K-pop artistes have also risen with their covers of the popular melancholic song.
YG artistes were some of the few who have covered the song, along with a few other notable K-pop idols. Below are some of the covers of ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips’ that should give a listen to, if you have yet to!
1) Akdong Musician (AKMU)
This brother-sister duo first created waves in K-pop Star 2, a reality star program where they won the grand prize and signed with YG Entertainment. With the release of their first album not too long ago, they have been showing that they can certainly hold their notes. Soo Hyun‘s sweet voice provides a feminine approach in this cover, while Chan Hyuk‘s witty rap lyrics give the song the ‘AKMU’ touch.
2) Epik High’s Tablo
Another from the YG Family to do a cover of this popular song, Tablo‘s version totally awes and overwhelms… probably because the lyrics are in English? But that’s beside the point. Tablo’s slow rap and lyrics totally gave a new dimension to the song, but the ending where Taeyang joins in is definitely the highlight of the song. This is one of the best covers, we reckon.
3) Topp Dogg
Ever wondered how the song would sound if it was sung by a group? Well, K-pop idol group Topp Dogg has covered the song beautifully and we can’t help but wonder why idol groups do not do acoustic covers more often.
4) Eric Nam
Eric Nam‘s version of “Eyes, Nose, Lips’ is another one in English. Here we get a similar version of Taeyang’s song, albeit with English lyrics in place of Korean lyrics.
While the name 2BiC might not strike a chord with many K-pop fans, they are popular in South Korea as the 2 men with loud, booming and sonorous voices. 2BiC’s version shows their vocal prowess as well as the fact that you do not have to possess abs like Taeyang to pull off the song!
6) Sungha Jung
Sungha Jung is known in South Korea as the guitar prodigy, and often makes guitar covers of K-pop hit songs. It’s no wonder this song is on his list, and well, the song sounds good on guitar too!
7) Roy Kim
Pretty boy singer Roy Kim also jumped on the bandwagon by treating fans to a cover version of the song on his birthday. With an indie vibe, Roy Kim experiments with 2 voices on this cover, and sounds as if he’s singing to us over the phone…
8) BTS (Bangtan Boys)
BTS take it to another level by parody the hit song! Their epic facial expression is so funny. Check out these dorky boys~

Last, but not least, we have a bonus one for all of you Haru fans out there. Those not in the know, Haru is Tablo’s daughter and they are both featured on variety show ‘Superman Returns‘ which airs on KBS World.
Cute, ain’t she?
