After almost 2 years of waiting, BTS finally met their Malaysian fans live for the first time in Kuala Lumpur for their series of Episode II: The Red Bullet world tour concert on 6th June 2015. Bangtan Sonyeondan (방탄소년단), also known as BTS, consists of 7 members; Suga, V, Jimin, Jungkook, J-hope, Jin and Rap Monster greeted Malaysian media warmly with “Apa khabar?” during the press conference a day before the concert. A few hours before the press conference started, they met with lucky fans at the more intimate ‘Hello Session’.
This is not their first time in Malaysia, as BTS was previously spotted filming and doing a photoshoot in Kota Kinabalu Sabah in May 2015. As they came secretly for the private schedule, they were not able to meet their fans at that time. Suga said that everything about Malaysia so far is 100% satisfying. During their Sabah visit, they enjoyed the view and the weather so much and J-hope said that he would like to come back to Malaysia for a holiday.
BTS has just made a comeback at the end of April with their album “Best Moment in Life Part 1” and their title song “I Need You” has been on top of many music charts in South Korea. With their “blooming” concept comeback, they have won first place a few times in music shows and also a “Bonsang Award” for their album sales. With this achievement, BTS was inspired to continue working hard and they wish to hold a concert at a bigger venue with bigger crowd of fans.
Since their debut in June 2013, the member which improved the most is “Jimin. He’s a lot more awesome now!”, V confidently answered. Happy with the praise he received, Jimin praised V back by saying “Bagus!” (which means Good!). J-hope picked Jungkook as the most improved member since Jungkook now turned out to be more mature and started to compose music on his own. Meanwhile Jin as the oldest member thinks J-hope improved alot since debut because his personality has got alot more brighter now, rather than during they were trainees. When the MC asked the leader, Rap Monster, about who he thinks that have improved a lot from the debut day, Rap Monster jokingly answered, “It’s hard to pick one, but it’s definitely not V!” and it makes the crowds and the members burst on laughter. As the group leader, he also thinks Jimin is the one who improving a lot in many ways.
When being asked about the title of their concert series “The Red Bullet”, Rap Monster said that the title symbolizes their energy and passion for music. It also represents their youthful energy. With that symbolization, BTS is expecting a huge reaction and passion from the fans in Malaysia for their concert on the next day.
As they showed up about 1 hour late from the scheduled time, BTS apologized personally for the delay and presented warm cookies to each media who attended the concert. Ok, we admit, we melted! <3 Thank you IME Productions for the invitation!
