Mamonde, the South Korean beauty brand under Amorepacific Malaysia, has expanded its business operations to the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia with the opening of its third counter at Aeon Bukit Indah Shopping Centre, Johor Bahru.
This is Mamonde’s third counter since its official launch in AEON 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya in July this year. According to Margaret Chin, Country Manager of AmorePacific Malaysia, the brand has been well-received by beauty enthusiasts since its launch and arrival of brand ambassador, South Korean actress Park Shin Hye. “Mamonde has enjoyed great success since the opening of its first two counters in the Klang Valley. We are confident that this new opening in Johor Bahru will not only contribute greatly to our sales, but also capture a fresh new audience for the brand,” said Chin.
Mamonde hopes to acquire a bigger customer database in the premium cosmetics market. The brand is embarking on an aggressive expansion plan with more counters opening by end of 2017 to strengthen its reach and serve more customers nationwide. “Despite being new to the market, we are ranked No.1 at AEON 1 Utama in terms of sales performance in October 2016. We hope to eventually make Mamonde available nationwide so that more people will be able to enjoy this innovative yet affordable brand,” added Chin.
The counter carries 150 products ranging from skincare, makeup, hand care to make up for hair. Inspired by flowers, Mamonde uses flowers as its key ingredient in the formulation of its products and aspires to bring women’s beauty into a bloom.
Apart from sales of products, the counter also offers complimentary Flower Touch hand massage with seven different types of hand creams to choose from as well as complimentary skin consultation. The new counter also features a Flower Experience Corner to enable its customers to experience and learn about Mamonde’s flower science. This area also doubles up as a floral aromatherapy area where customers get to relax the mind with its calming and soothing scents.
Mamonde is the first skincare brand of its kind that uses only flowers as its key ingredient coupled with other natural ingredients in its formulation. AmorePacific has invested a great deal in R&D to ensure the efficacy of Mamonde products and that these products are gentle on the skin, just like the characteristics of a flower.
