You could still be freezing your butts off in South Korea, but fashion – like time – waits for no man. The Spring 2010 collection from Basic House is already here and who better to don those stylish clothes than the much-loved Yoon Eun-hye (YEH) and Kim Hyun-joong. Earthy tones: ‘Don’t we rock the new Spring collection?’ Yes, Kim Hyun-joong (of SS501 and Boys Over Flowers fame) is teamed up with everybody’s Coffee Prince darling for Basic House’s Spring 2010 collection where the key to stylish casuals lies in mixing and matching.YEH seems to be the constant for Basic House while her “leading man” keeps getting changed. In 2008, YEH modelled with Olympic gold medallist Park Tae-hwan. In 2009, she shared catalogue space with Hyun Bin. Gee, I wonder how many power crunches he did to get them. Model/ actor Marco Lee shows off his six packs in the Nov 2009 issue of Arena. Flex: ‘Count ‘em…all six are there.’ The 32-year-old dons Emporio Armani’s Autumn/Winter underwear collection for the fashion glossy’s photo spread. The talent, who has had bit parts in dramas such as Dream (2009), I Love You, Don’t Cry (2008) and Air City (2007), lost 2.5kg for the photoshoot. The 3rd generation ethnic Korean from Argentina adhered to a strict diet and exercise regime to get his sculpted physique.The up and coming talent, who wants to make it big as an actor in South Korea, appeared as singer Son Dam-bi’s “husband” in MBC’s pseudo-married couple show We Got Married. Actor: Marco practices brooding Marco’s dream is to star in his own rom-com one day. “To be honest, what I really want to do is acting. I know I have to speak (Korean) better. Korean disaster flick actress Kang Ye-won was at the Republic of Korea Beauty Design Expo in Gyeonggido, Ilsan on Sept 19. She was there for the launch of Bandi, an eco-friendly nail brand from France. Pretty nails: Kang Ye-won shows off her colouredpinkie and some Bandi products Bandi nail colours are eco-friendly as they do not contain harmful chemicals. Han Hyo Joo does more than model for Jambangi
Han Hyo Joo doesn’t only model for the brand Jambangi, she had a hand in creating the new line “Lucky Jean”. Budding young actress Han Hyo Joo is making waves in K-entertainment. She just finished working on the successful drama Shining Inheritance (Brilliant Legacy). The 22 year-old actress and model also worked with TVXQ’s Hero Jaejoong in Heaven’s Postman (Telecinema project), and was also in Iljimae with Lee Jun Ki. Han Hyo Joo is the new model for denim brand Jambangi (잠뱅이). The brand just launched a new line called Lucky Jean. Jeans in this new line have that “natural washed” look. Han Hyo Joo was directly involved in the design process of this new line. She personally had a hand in determining the clover pattern (which i thought looks more like a butterfly) on the jeans and also decorative motifs used on the denim. Jambangi executive director is pleased to have Hyo Joo model for his brand. She was seen in the company of Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld. Jun looked lovely dressed in a black Chanel chiffon dress albeit on the skinny side. She wore no accessories except for a matching clutch. The fashion show was held on 7th July at 9pm at the Grand Palais in Paris.
