K-popped! reader Jon Ng was kind enough to send us some pictures of the Manhwa exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center UK in London. Thanks Jon! The MANHWA 100: Centenary of Korean Comics exhibition was held at KCCUK from May 21st – June 24th 2009 and Jon managed to drop by on the last day. Yoon Eun-hye models Vivien’s summer collection
I guess the collection consists of strapless bras since Yoon Eun-hye is seen in a green open-shouldered tube top dress. Keep ‘em together: ‘All you need to know about the brasis that they provide good support.’ The 25-year-old dons the brand’s summer innerwear collection for a photoshoot…not that we can actually see what the collection looks like. YEH, who is set to star in the drama Lady Castle, was recently spotted at her Coffee Prince co-star Lee Seon-gyun’s wedding on May 23. Yoon Eun Hye makes a comeback in drama Lady Castle
Yoon Eun Hye (Coffee Prince, Goong) announced that she will make a comeback after 2 years with the drama Lady Castle (레이디캐슬). It has been two long years since we’ve seen Yoon in a drama. Her last big hit was Coffee Prince in 2007. Although Yoon Eun Hye had agreed to work on Lady Castle last year, the production of the drama was delayed due to a ban from the Drama Production Company Association on Lee Kim Productions (the production house working on the drama). Lee Kim Productions and actor Park Shin-yang (Lovers in Paris) were banned when both parties were involved in a salary tussle. But all that has been ironed out since April 6 and production will resume. The rest of the casting for Lady Castle is still in progress. The drama is a romantic comedy where Yoon Eun Hye plays the second daughter to a wealthy man who leaves his inheritance to his three daughters. Romance comes in the form of a poor man who enters the household with an eye on the families’ riches. 24 year-old Yoon Eun Hye is currently one of the main models for South Korean casual clothing brand Basic House. The versatile actress of extremely popular K-dramas Goong and Coffee Prince posted these pictures on her Cyworld. The photos are from her most recent Basic House photo shoot. Notice the shirts she is modeling for the brand has a different sport represented on each. The shirts are probably in a collection to commemorate the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Along with the photos, she left this note for the Olympic athletes: 올림픽선수들을 응원하는~!! (A cheer for the players to the Olympics!) Can Yoon Eun-hye sing or not?
We’ve received some interesting comments ever since we announced that Yoon Eun-hye will be singing for new hip-hop duo Mighty Mouth. The track is simply entitled Saranghae (I Love You). Songbird: Yoon Eun-hye bursts into song Some K-popped! readers said: Anonymous#1: I heard her sing and was a bit surprised, I didn’t expect her to have a decent voice… Anonymous #2: Why not pick someone who actually has some singing talent rather than an overrated actress who can’t even sing well. Anonymous #3: This girl needs to just stick to acting! When you know you can’t sing, you shouldn’t! Don’t be like those stupid people on American Idol!
