Sungkyunkwan Scandal, a period drama starring JYJ’s Micky Yoochun is currently airing on KBS World. I’m sure many of you are following this drama. If you are not, then maybe it’s time to take a peek.
The romantic comedy saguek is set in the late Joseon dynasty and revolves around four scholars at the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University. At that time, Sungkyunkwan was the nations highest educational institute and one of the oldest universities in East Asia with a 500 year history.
In that time and age, only young males were allowed to pursue a higher level of education. However, the young lady Kim Yoon Hee (Park Min Young) disguised as a boy, enters the university in place of her sick brother. There, she befriends three characters and they make up the Jalgeum Quartet, or J4. Her friends… the upright and very proper Lee Sun Joon (Micky Yoochun), playboy Goo Yong Ha (Song Joong Ki) and rebellious Moon Jae Shin (Yoo Ah In).
