K-pop’s longest running boy band Shinhwa is back!
Now that all the members have completed their military service, the legendary Shinhwa made a mighty return in March 2012 with their tenth album, aptly entitled The Return.
With the members participating in the album’s song writing and direction, The Return is an ambitious effort covering Brit-pop, pop ballad, urban R&B, and other genres, showing that the legend of Shinhwa will only keep getting bigger and better with time.
The dance title song Venus, penned by Lee Min Woo, is a pop-electro number with strong beats and a catchy chorus.

On the slow song side, Eric takes the song writing lead for the ballad entitled Hurts, a melancholic 8-beat pop ballad featuring Frankie J.
Although there are a lot of trendy chord progressions and sophisticated vocal treatment in the tracks, there is no denying that this is a true blue Shinhwa album.
The Return album comprises one CD with 11 tracks and one DVD containing the MV of Venus.
