JYJ Replaces T-ara for Tony Moly
JYJ, comprising of former TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, have landed another endorsement deal, this time round with cosmetics brand, Tony Moly!
Tony Moly recently confirmed that JYJ– the global Hallyu group had officially signed on to be the brand’s new spokespersons, replacing girl group T-ara.
Tony Moly’s marketing vice president Kim Seung Chul remarked on the new partnership saying, “JYJ is receiving widespread love in Korea and is the best Hallyu group both nominally and in reality. We anticipate JYJ will be a big boost in Tony Moly’s plans to enter the overseas markets.”
JYJ members will serve as Tony Moly’s new models not only in Korea but in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and more, excluding Japan, over the course of the next year. Starting next month in October, JYJ will be featured in the initial television commercials and print ads for the brand.
Malaysian fans will be excited to know that Tony Moly has 4 outlets in Malaysia. Their outlets are located in Sungei Wang Plaza, KL Festival City, Johor Bahru City Square and Batu Pahat Mall. Do make a stop in these stores!
There are also rumours that JYJ will be promoting throughout Tony Moly’s Asian stores and will be heading to Singapore as one of their stops. Malaysian fans, keep your fingers crossed that they’ll make a quick stop here!
Even with their restricted appearances, JYJ members have many activities up their sleeves. They are currently the models for a huge range of brands such as clothing line NII, painkiller Penzal Q, and video console Nintendo, apart from their individual endorsements.
Meanwhile, the two remaining members of TVXQ are currently serving as the spokespersons for rival cosmetics brand Missha.
May the best spokesperson and brand win!
