Kim Jaejoong, one-third of the popular boy band JYJ, has finally released the title track from his solo album MINE!
Following the success of fellow member Junsu, who released his solo album Tarantallegra, despite any promotions of any sort on Korean broadcasts, Jaejoong has opted to take a rock approach on his latest album.
Breaking away from the usual K-pop mould, Jaejoong’s MV for MINE has the Dark Angel concept, in which he also portrays a vampire.
The music video was filmed continuously for 60 hours and is made up of symbolic images such as snakes, crows and owls.
With Jaejoong as the lyricist, MINE was composed by Kim Bada of the legendary rock band Sinawe and features magnificent and crystal clear guitar riffs mid-track, which makes the listeners feel like one is racing through a tunnel!
Check out the explosive MINE MV which was filmed on 7 different sets!
Just the week before, Jaejoong pre-released ONE KISS, a track from the album, and it hit number 1 on the iTunes music charts in 5 countries in less than a day! The track also managed to top the iTunes rock charts in Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia!
Now that both Jaejoong and Junsu have released their own albums, let’s wait for Yoochun’s solo album next, shall we?
