Choi Siwon Unveils his LINE TV Commercial
LINE, the fastest-growing mobile messaging service, announced its goal to grow its Malaysian user base at a press conference held at Aloft Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on April 12.
LINE aims to grow in the Malaysian market through collaborations with local businesses, local artistes’ official accounts and a colorful and exciting campaign featuring Korean star Choi Siwon.

For the local campaign, Siwon starred in a TV commercial (filmed in Malaysia) about a guy interacting with his girlfriend through LINE. Siwon was at the press conference to show his support, and to introduce his avatar and virtual room through LINE Play.
In the commercial, which was shot in Tasik Ampang Hilir — amongst other familiar Kuala Lumpur hot spots; shows a couple, though separated by physical distance, communicate with each other via LINE. This showcases LINE’s global aim which is to bridge the gap between people in the ever expanding digital world. Hit play watch the commercial.

LINE is NOT just a mobile messaging application. With games, tools, social connectivity and entertainment applications complementing LINE messenger, LINE allows users to create, share and connect with one another across any platform.

Apart from Choi Siwon, LINE has also gained support from local artistes via LINE Official Accounts that allows them to communicate directly with fans. Among the celebraties are Zizan Razak (from Raja Lawak), Danny One, Liyana Fizi, Isaac Dang, Chris Tong Bing Yu, Jane Ng and KeQing.

Other than celebrity partnerships, LINE is also a new platform for music. G-Dragon from Big Bang recently released a new song via his LINE Official Account. In addition, fans are able to download an exclusive set of G-Dragon Stickers and use them in conversations, which allows them to listen to his new song for free.
In Malaysia, LINE also support’s NOKIA S40 platform and comes pre-loaded on NOKIA Asha smartphones. This is in addition to the iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry.
