RAIN, Set to be Back in Malaysia for Twin Towers @Live 2014!!
Rain is back and he’s not going to make us wet! Instead he’ll be rocking up local K-pop fans at the Plaza PETRONAS, KLCC. There’s going to be a long list of artistes making their appearance in this annual series, and this Korean superstar is the first to be announced.
Past years we have seen Wonder Girls, Girls’ Generation, 2NE1 and U-Kiss hyping the crowd and this year, Rain will be performing on the second night, Saturday, March 29 2014.
Twin Towers @Live has been one of the most awaited annual event in which the artistes ranges from rock (Hoobastank and Orianthi) and R&B/dance (Kelis) to house (DJ Tatsuro and DJ Face), and not to forget Demi Levato and Backstreet Boys who were here last year.
A little bit about Jung Ji-Hoon, who goes by the stage name Rain, is one of many who were responsible for heralding the Hallyu Wave that has swept the globe by storm. He first came to the music scene with the debut album Bad Guy and with his slick dance moves and good looks, it was not long before he won fans over in South Korea.
His big break came when he starred in the KBS drama Full House which made him known to the international audience. He then released four studio albums, featured in four television series and went into Hollywood with the release of two films.
Rain went into a two year hiatus when he enlisted in the compulsory military service but he showed that he has not lost his edge as he went on to release Rain Effect this year with hit songs 30 Sexy and LA Song.
The Twin Towers @Live at Plaza PETRONAS, KLCC which played host to events like the New Years’ countdown celebration and Earth Hour will be the perfect setting for Rain’s comeback performance. And with PETRONAS Twin Towers as the backdrop, it will sure be a wonderful night.
