Best Comeback in 2014
It’s a curtain call for 2014 before entering a better journey for all of us in 2015. 2014 is no doubt a slump year for K-Pop industry with different scandals reported almost every month, tragedies, member withdrawal and many more.
However, there were several big names made their comeback this year and had a successful comeback such as Super Junior, EXO, CNBLUE, INFINITE, BEAST, B.A.P, Girls’ Day, A-PINK, just to mention several of them.
It was hard to choose which one has the best comeback this year as few comebacks came into mind for this post, and K-popped! final choice is……EXO!!!
Currently promoting with 10 members, EXO has the best comeback for this year with their mini album titled ‘Overdose’. The mini album which consist 5 tracks was released on May 7, 2014 in two language edition which are Korean and Mandarin.
On top of that, this third mini album by EXO is the most ordered mini album in K-Pop industry as the pre-orders for the mini album before its release reached a total of 660,000++ from EXO-L all around the world.
Once it released, the mini album topped the main album chart in several country including in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines.
EXO-K version of ‘Overdose’ music video released on May 6 already has more than 45 million hits to date, while EXO-M version hits more than 10 million and still counting.
EXO who has concluded their first concert tour in Asia, The Lost Planet, won Union Pay Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for Overdose during Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA) which held recently.
“This is possible because of our fans. Thank you very much to EXO-L and we promise to work hard to become the best artist for you guys. We love you!,” EXO leader, Suho’s acceptance speech in MAMA 2014.
It was a long ride for EXO members, with hectic schedule such as concert tours, music recording, CF filming, film and drama filming for few members, not to mention their dedicated practice to show their best for EXO-L.
EXO is expected making a comeback in early 2015 and EXO-L are surely can’t wait for it. Let’s love!
