BTS impressed Malaysian fans with energetic show

Last Saturday, Kuala Lumpur was the first stop in the second half installment of 2015 BTS Live Trilogy Episode II <The Red Bullet> tour, which made it more special for Malaysian fans. It is not a surprise that BTS performed energetically at their first concert in Malaysia!

With a crowd of almost 3000 fans that night, BTS kicked off the concert at 6PM sharp. The concert started with a little intro where the backup dancers appeared on a stage that had been set-up like a classroom and the screen showed a short video introducing the members by their real names. Kim Nam-joon (Rap Monster), Kim Seok-jin (Jin), Min Yoon-gi (Suga), Jung Ho-seok (J-hope), Park Jimin (Jimin), Kim Taehyung (V) and Jeon Jeong-guk (Jungkook) then appeared on stage to loud cheers from ARMYs (BTS fanclub name) in the crowd.

They opened their stage with ‘N.O’ and ‘We Are Bulletproof Pt.2’ consecutively, then took a short break to greet their Malaysian fans with “What’s up Malaysia!!! Apa khabar?” After a round of short individual introduction, the boys continued performing hit songs such as ‘We On’, ‘Hip Hop Lover’, ‘Let Me Know’ and ‘Rain’.

And who said hip hop boys can’t be sweet and adorable too? BTS proved that is understatement when they performed an adorable track, ‘Blanket Kick’. I bet fans ‘died’ few times after being attacked by the boys’ aegyo throughout the song. After that, they continued to swoon the fans with ‘Just One Day’. They took a short break in between 2 to 3 songs to interact with their fans, before continuing to perform hits like ‘War of Hormone’, ‘Danger’ and ‘Boy in Luv’. The highlight of the concert is when BTS performed their song-topping-chart ‘I Need U’ for the first time at the concert. Malaysian ARMys are definitely a lucky bunch that day! Throughout the concert, the seven boys keep thanking their fans for their support and gave a lot of fan services as well.

BTS is known for their hardcore choreography…and they always leave fans breathless and jaw-dropped. Personally, when they just debuted, I don’t really get the hype because their songs was just too ‘noisy’ for me. But then there was one time I watched their dance practice, and I kept getting bowled over by their choreography. Then I started giving them some attention. This is my second time attending their concert (the first time was in Seoul), and I’m still amazed at how energetic they are with the hardcore dance steps and having had to sing live too. It’s not perfect but it’s enough to prove how talented they are.
