HIGH4 charms their way into HIGH5
The first weekend of September 2015 has been a long and meaningful weekend for HIGH5 (HIGH4 fan club name) in Malaysia since New Pro-Star (NPS) brought HIGH4 to Malaysia for their 3 day showcase in Seremban Prima, Summit USJ and Hartamas Shopping Centre.
The boys of HIGH4 first met the members of the media during a press conference held in Neway Karaoke Box, One Utama. HIGH4, made of 4 young men, Alex, the oldest and rapper of the group, Sunggu, leader and in charge of vocal, another member in charge of vocal, Myunghan and the youngest, also in charge of rap, Youngjun. At the press conference, each of the boys showed their personal talent and even talked about their preference in a girl. The band debuted in 2014 under N.A.P Entertainment with the song “Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossom” featuring and personally written by IU. The song made them the only K-pop rookie to have a duet with Korea’s no. 1 female soloist IU.

After a long wait for the fans, HIGH4 Promo Tour started with their showcase in Seremban Prima on Friday. The event brought together many of South High5 who came all the way from Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan itself. HIGH4 sang “ Say Yes”,”Day by Day” “ Baby Boy” & “Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossom” to the fans that attended the show. They also covered an english song “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz for the fans who attended the Seremban showcase.
The Showcase would’ve never be complete without a ‘bonding session’ with the fans. HIGH4 played a guessing game with lucky fans in one of the segments. It was hillarious since the members acted funnily on stage to describe the question given such as girl group dance, animals, flying kisses, sexy dance and many more. The Showcase ended after photo and autograph session with the fans.
The showcase moved on to Summit USJ on the second day and then to Hartamas Shopping Centre for their last day in Malaysia. Pretty similar to the first showcase, the fans in KL got to witness powerful performance from HIGH4 with a little bit of difference since the boys covered the song “With You” by Chris Brown on the 2nd day and “Down” by Jay Sean on the following day. HIGH4 also showed off their special talent in beatboxing, singing and doing aegyo in between their performances. The group also knows how to tease the fans by approaching them in between songs and encouraged them to sing along. Not enough with the show, NPS also prepared an after party at Silka Hotel with the boys for the fans with very affordable cost of admission.
It was an amazing 3 days spent with HIGH4 and we bet High5 Malaysia couldn’t get enough of the boys and hoped that HIGH4 will be coming back to Malaysia on their next tour. We thank NPS for giving us this great opportunity to cover this event.
