October 4th, Sunday – After having tight schedule for four days, rushing here and there (since we have to be early on occasion like awards and concerts), we finally have a leisure morning. We went out a bit late than usual, and our destination that day was not far – just a walk around Sinsadong Garosu-gil. The theme for the day was Gangnam Style!^_^
Garosu-gil in Sinsadong, Gangnam is known among both citizens and foreign tourists alike because this district contains many designer stores, hair shops, churches, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. The street is also known as ‘artiste’ street’, an ideal place to go on a date, hang out with friends, take pictures, film-making, photo shoots, have a cup of tea, or simply look around. Garosu-gil is particularly popular in autumn when the leaves begin to fall.
What is life without eating?ㅋㅋㅋ After walking around and enjoying the scenery, we finally went hunting for one of the famous cafe in the area called Le Brunchic.
After we went for some shopping and touring the area, our next stop was SMTOWN COEX Artium. If you are a fan of TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, f(X), SHINee, EXO and Red Velvet, you might be familiar with this place. If you are wondering what it is, SMTOWN Coex Artium is an entertainment complex centered around SM Entertainment artistes. Dubbed as ‘theme park in the city’, the complex boasts six floors full of album and merchandises, photo opportunities, cafe, theaters and more. More info and photos of SMTOWN here!
Done at SMTown, we had an early dinner at P.F. Chang’s at COEX before heading to Gangnam K-pop concert in the same area.
Received our Press Pass for Gangnam K-Pop Festival and we were ready to rock the Gangnam Street! It was an outdoor concert in the middle of the road in front of the COEX building. Gangnam K-Pop Festival featured top stars from SM Entertainment such as Zhou-Mi, Henry, Super Junior D&E, Red Velvet and EXO. Check out more photos during the concert here!
The concert started at 7PM and ended around 9PM. Time to head back to the hotel and get some rest. Stay tuned to our next travelogue 🙂
