A Dialogue with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia

A dialogue with the Korean Ambassador to Malaysia was held in Korea Plaza, KL, last week – an event by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia in collaboration with Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia. The short event was attended by representative fans of the group Big Bang, EXO, TVXQ, and Girls Generation, local online medias, Korea food lovers, language learners and general followers of the Korean Wave.

Prior to the arrival of His Excellency, participants were shown how to make Korean-style Braised Chicken. Participants of the event were also given the chance to have hands on experience with making 3 color flower kimbap (popular Korean snack – consists of cooked rice, dried laver, and filling of your choice, usually cucumber, carrots and pickled radish) with His Excellency, before having a friendly talk on the Korean Wave with the participants.

His Excellency Dr. Yu Hyun-Seok, at the dialogue said “We are excited to organize this type of gathering with K-culture lovers in Malaysia. We hope to bring the cultures of Korea and Malaysia closer through this initiative hence strengthening the ties between our two nation”.

The dialogue session brought out positive outcomes from both sides and we look forward to more events with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia and Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia.
