Song Ji Hyo Draws Big Crowd At SHOOPEN Malaysia Grand Opening
Avid viewers of Running Man were especially delighted when Song Ji Hyo, the only female regular member in the team was announced as the special guest of the Grand Opening of SHOOPEN’s first international store and also the largest in South-East Asia at Fahrenheit88 on October 1st.
The excitement was evident as fans waited hours before the actual launch, some as early as 6:30am, just to catch a sight of her. The ever friendly Song Ji Hyo waved to the screaming crowd upon arrival, bright smiles all around, clearly appreciative of the warm support and enthusiasm.
At a Meet & Greet session held a while after the launch, Song Ji Hyo was asked if she has tried our local food. She replied that unfortunately she did not have a chance yet, but would love some recommendations. When the emcees suggested ‘bak kut teh’, she instantly perked up saying she knew the dish and loved it. She jokingly made the emcees promise to buy it for her later.
Showing gratitude to the fans who lined up the floors overlooking the Center Court, the pretty actress shared that although it was only her second time coming to Malaysia – the first was in 2014 for a Running Man fan-meeting – she always feel welcomed here and hopes to be be back in the near future.
The event ended with Song Ji Hyo taking a ‘wefie’ with the ardent crowd, much to their delight.
