Filming locations of Korean dramas have become popular destinations that attract many tourists. The latest and hottest drama currently airing is “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,” a historical romance starring Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung. With an average viewer rating of 19.6% that continues to climb every week, it also features many spots that embody deep rooted history and are perfect for taking a leisurely stroll.   1. Choi Champandaek (House of Choi Champan)

Consisting of fourteen ‘Hanok (Korean traditional house)’ buildings, Choi Champandaek is not only featured in “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds”, but also many other famous Korean historical dramas including “Moon Embracing the Sun (2012)”, a popular drama starring Kim Soo-hyun. If you can remember, this picturesque spot appeared in the Episode 2, where Ra-on is sent to catch the chickens for a feast hosted by Premier Kim and falls off the roof into Yoon-sung’s arms.

  1. Jeonju Hyanggyo Confucian School

Known for being a national education center during the Joseon period, Jeonju Hyanggyo Confucian School consists of 99 rooms and is surrounded by several large Gingko trees. Sung-yeol brings Ra-on to one of the trees around this area to rest on and you can also spot the main building behind the throng of concubines dancing in Episode 5.

  1. Hwaseong Haenggung Palace

A ‘Haenggung’ is a temporary palace that the kings and royal family would retreat to during war, and  Hwaseong Haenggung is the largest of them all. It’s a place where you can learn about Korean royal history and culture and is also the filming site of the viral drama teaser with Park Bo-gum giddily dancing to “Boombastic.”
