Experience KCON NY in 360 Virtual Reality!
KCON USA, the world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival, has announced that KCON New York will be filmed in 360 virtual reality (VR) for the first time ever with support from State Farm. In addition to star-studded concerts, this year KCON is offering more panels and workshops than ever before, with offerings on everything from K-beauty and K-food to e-sports and K-drama.
State Farm will provide VR content on site at KCON New York and KCON Los Angeles during their respective conventions, including exclusive looks at the artists making up this year’s concert line-ups.
“State Farm is excited to bring the world of KCON to the greater online audience with our VR Experience and helping dedicated fans experience the excitement of KCON in both New York and Los Angeles,” said Patty Morris, Brand Content Director at State Farm. “Using VR gives us a new way to engage with KCON fans as they experience the festival online and off.”
The State Farm booth at KCON 2017 New York – held at the Prudential Center from June 23 through 24 – will feature exclusive VR content using Oculus powered headsets where fans will be able to immerse themselves in special shout-outs from KNK and Highlight. Details of what will be available at KCON Los Angeles from August 18-20 will be revealed closer to the event.
“We are always looking for new ways to engage our passionate fans around the world, and to document the connections made at the festival each year, and filming KCON in VR 360 takes this commitment to the next level,” said Angela Killoren, COO of CJ E&M America.
