[Event Coverage] A Beautiful Night with Mcalls Kwave Music Festival 2017

So it happened! 6 kpop stars were in Sunway Lagoon Beach Resort for the Kwave Music Festival 2017. Victon, Apink, BTOB, Teentop, B1A4 and Highlight threw the party of the year and we were there to witness it.

The day started with a fan meeting between Victon and selected fans at the Mcalls Digital Lifestyle Store in Sunway Pyramid. Hundreds throng the front of the store and things got quite complicated when fans were pushing to get closer to the group. But all ends well as Victon were happy with the reception they got from the fans. It sure hyped up the fans spirits for the nights’ show.

At 8 o’clock sharp, the lights were dimmed at the Surf Beach resort, Victon came up on stage, and performed 5 songs, and the night kept getting hotter! Victon said that they were happy with the love they received from fans, and to keep supporting them!

BTOB then shows up, and started their stage with their latest hit – Movie. Famous for the antics, BTOB did not fail to make us laugh WHILE enjoying good music. The atmosphere when they sang I’ll Be Your Man, is no joke as you can feel goosebumps when the vocal line strikes up the high notes.

The third group of the night, B1A4 delighted us with just being in attendance. Deemed the group who entertained fans the most for the night, they managed to put the whole stage to good use. Baro who started with “We need some water here as we are in the Surf Beach!”, started spraying fans with water and really turn the show into a party!

The heat did not die there, as Teen Top appeared in white, (except C.A.P who don a flowery suit) and performed Love Is. Who can forget their synchronised leg moves in Crazy and Miss Long Hair?

Next, the only girl group for the night, Apink did not disappoint. The pretty girls of Apink opened their show with their latest single Five, and made us bop to Mr Chu, NoNoNo and L-U-V!

Last but not least, the group that most of the fans have been waiting for since 2013, Highlight, showed us the most versatile performance. Highlight entertained fans with the latest hits Plz Don’t Be Sad, Calling You and throwback hits such as YeY and Goodluck. Highlight closed the show on a high with Beautiful Night.
