Evergreen: A magical story of the star-crossed lovers

Evergreen is a 16-episode fantasy romance comedy starring CNBLUE’s Lee Jong-hyun (Orange Marmalade) and Kim So-eun (Our Gab-Soon). The drama is about the story of two people who fall in love with each other due to a “cupid” possessing magical pollen.

Oh Soo (Lee Jong-hyun) is a smart and handsome man in his 20’s. He works as a promising engineer in the IT field, a cafe owner and a barista. He plays cupid for men and women by using a mysterious pollen. Due to the pollen, he falls in love with Seo Yoo-ri (Kim So-eun). She is also in her 20’s and works as a police officer. She has a bright personality and supports her family by herself.

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Yoo-ri drinks a lot and faints on the street around Oh Soo’s café. Oh Soo finds her unpleasant and was just about to ignore her. But he remembers the news that there is a serial killer in their town. He couldn’t help but bring her to his café. While he is out of the café, she wakes up, drinks coffee mixed with the pollen and disappear.

Evergreen tells a realistic love story of young people, while also showing a twist in the sensitive fantasy romance genre. The main leads are a cursed man and a woman who can’t break the curse, which is certainly different from conventional plot pairings, where the hero or heroine usually holds the key to “curing” or somehow changing their counterpart in the course of the show.

The Korea Creative Content Agency is supporting the production of the series in recognition of its emotional but charming story and solid composition.

Evergreen will premiere on K-PLUS starting 6 March 2018, Tuesday at 8.00pm SGT, within 24 hours of Korea. New episodes will air weekly on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8.00pm SGT. English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia subtitles are available.
