[Travelogue] Day Trip in Incheon

We’ve been to Incheon so many times, but only limited to its airport. Oh well, that’s because Incheon is famous for Incheon International Airport, South Korea’s airport hub.

We never thought of exploring the city of Incheon before, and we hope future travellers will have the same experiences like us.

In fact, there are so many attractions and places to visit in Incheon. During our recent trip we had a chance to spend a night in Incheon and experience so many things!

Sochang Experience Center at Ganghwa Island

We stopped by Sochang Experience Center to learn about fabrics. We got to watch the videos and learn about fabric history during 1960s and see all kinds of sewing machines used to make fabrics. We also experienced designing our own handkerchief using stamps at Sochang Experience Center.

Old sewing machine.

Sochang Experience Center was also a filming location for K-drama “Switch”, starring Jang Geun Seuk.

Joyang Fabric Factory Café

Joyang Fabric Factory Café used to be a factory but was remodelled to be a trendy café in Incheon. The owner collects vintage stuffs and displays them in the café, making it much more unique.

This beautiful vintage cafe has recently became very popular on Instagram, and it’s the most popular cafe on Ganghwa Island.

Some of the vintage collection.

The space is so big that it is a very suitable place for a big group of people, couples or even for people who need a personal space. It was used as a drama set in the past, but it was reborn as a cafe space after shooting.

Songdo Central Park / G-Tower Observatory

Songdo Central Park view from the G-Tower Observatory

So-called a green paradise found among the crowded skycrapers in the city, Songdo Central Park is a seaside park build within Songdo International City, you can enjoy water leisure sports here.

There is also G-Tower nearby the park where we can see the view of Songdo from the 33rd floor.

MUSE Academy

K-pop choreography can be hard to follow. Why not learn it from the experts? We stopped by MUSE Academy at Incheon to learn a K-pop dance.

It was a trending song, LATATA by girl group (G)I-DLE. The dance teacher used to be a backup dancer for BTS and Wanna One! MUSE Academy is also known as a training place for Produce 48 members, providing vocal, dance and acting lesson for those who are interested.
