Lonely Enough to Love: Can’t be bothered to date, but don’t want to be lonely!
Lonely Enough to Love is a 10-episode romance comedy starring Ji Hyun-woo (Risky Romance, Bad Thief Good Thief, Queen In-Hyun’s Man) and Kim So-eun (Evergreen, Our Gab-Soon, Liar Game). This is a love story of young people residing at a co-living house who want to be in relationships but don’t want anything too serious, and who want freedom but don’t want to be lonely.
Cha Kang-woo (Ji Hyun-woo) is a single man in his 30’s. He works as a psychiatrist and is full of curiosity about human beings. Even though Kang-woo is an attractive man, he is afraid of having romantic relationships due to past trauma. A woman appears in front of him and he begins to have feelings for her. Lee Na-eun (Kim So-eun) is a freelancer copy editor. She is kind to good people, and does not tolerate injustice. Na-eun hopes to become a novelist one day. Due to difficulties of life, she has not dated in 4 years. She begins to stay at the co-living house and develops romantic feelings.
Ji Hyun-woo is a well-known actor armed with a charming voice and impressive drama portfolio of wide range. He has been recognized for his strong acting ability and charisma. His notable works include Risky Romance, Queen In Hyun’s Man, Angry Mom, Wanted, The Awl and Bad Thief Good Thief. Kim So-eun is adored for her charm and effort in every character she portrayed. The versatile actress also has a rich drama filmography. She appeared in dramas Evergreen, Our Gap-soon, Liar Game and The Scholar Who Walks the Night.
The main leads showcased genuine chemistry while portraying their characters thanks to Ji Hyun-woo’s skilled depiction of Cha Kang-woo’s heart-fluttering scenes and Kim So-eun’s realistic response as her character starts to fall for Cha Kang-woo. The drama also stars Park Geon-il, who plays Lee Na-eun’s close friend. Partaking in the love triangle with Ji Hyun-woo and Kim So-eun, he made hearts flutter with his friendly character. B1A4’s Gong-chan also used his warm gaze to show his character as a bodyguard who is in charge of VIP clients.
Leading the production is PD Lee Hyun-joo who worked on Sweet and Salty Office. This romance drama is set to be a realistic portrayal of people in their twenties and thirties as they navigate through life and love.
Lonely Enough to Love will premiere on K-PLUS starting 12 August 2020, Wednesday at 9.15pm SGT. New episodes will air weekly on every Wednesday at 9.15pm SGT.
