[Travelog] K-popped! Takes On Taaras Beach & Spa Resort
As much as we miss Korea and want to go back there as soon as possible, we are very much aware of the current situation. The border access is still limited as the world is still struggling to fight the pandemic, and it seems like COVID-19 is not leaving us anytime soon.
So, the team at K-popped! planned a short domestic getaway to support our local tourism and all we can say is Malaysia has so many hidden gems, we don’t need to fly out of the country to experience all of them! Sharing is caring they say, so here goes some details of our vacation! 😀
For this short getaway, we decided to go to The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort. Located in Redang Island, Terengganu, Taaras is well known for its private beach and beautiful spots for snorkeling.
Our journey to Taaras started early Saturday morning where we parked our car at Merang Jetty and took the speedboat to Redang Island. We spent 3 days and 2 night at Taaras but we think it was just not enough as there were so many fun activities to try out.
Here are some of the fun activities you can do while you are in Taaras.
1. OOTD (is a MUST!)
Redang Island is well known for its crystal clear water and white powdery sand, making each and every corner of the island insta-worthy.
2. Snorkelling
Beautiful corals and fishes are waiting for you! There are a few snorkelling spots you can try in Redang Island. Never tried snorkelling before? No worries, you are not alone! We tried it for the first time too, and there are crews who will take care of your safety.
3. Swimming with Turtles
Another unforgettable moment is that you can play and swim together with turtles, right in front of your eyes!
4. Fishing
Rent a boat and go fishing! Who knows you might get lucky and dinner for that day is settled.
5. Take a tour at Asean Lady Yacht
Luxury yacht! When else do you get the chance to tour on a yacht? This experience is priceless!

As the monsoon season is coming, the boat services will temporarily be on halt but fret not, you can still go to Redang Island via the air route. Direct flights from Subang Airport to the beautiful The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort are available and the flight takes just over an hour.
