SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, AND IZ*ONE TO PERFORM AT 2020 Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS
Early Fan Voting for Asia’s Largest Music Award Show Already Tops Last Year’s Total Votes
Asia’s leading entertainment and lifestyle company CJ ENM announced today that SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, and IZ*ONE will join BTS as the performing artist at 2020 Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS (MAMA). The announcement comes as fan voting reaches record levels already surpassing the entire vote count received for last year’s event; considering there is still time left for voting, this number will be a record high.
The official voting period will continue through December 5th midnight (KST) on the official website(www.2020mama.com). The 2020 MAMA will air December 6 (KST).
Meanwhile, in the MAMA teaser released today, fans can catch glimpses of past MAMA stages for BTS. SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, and IZ*ONE. In addition to past performances, the teaser also includes the concept for 2020 MAMA, ‘NEW-TOPIA’.
2020 MAMA will bring the award show online for the first time since 1999. Each year, MAMA has awed fans with its ground-breaking stages and mega-stage performances brought to life by CJ ENM’s high-end production. As Asia’s largest music award show, MAMA’s impact has spread far beyond its origins across Asia and other parts of the world. World famous artists and producers including Timbaland, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Dua Lipa and more have also taken the MAMA stage collaborating with the biggest names from Asian music. Last year 40,000 fans packed the Nagoya Dome in Japan for the events with more than 200 regions around the world tuning in to celebrate the star-studded event.
