iQiyi Reveals New Posters for Original Korean Series JIRISAN

The character posters drop more clues of the series’ mysteries

iQiyi today released the latest character posters for its Original K-series Jirisan, featuring lead cast members Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon. The posters show both stars clad in National Park Ranger gear, and their worried expressions coupled with taglines hinting at the series’ mysteries are set to raise anticipation for the show’s debut on October 23rd. Created by director Lee Eung-bok (Descendants of The Sun, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) and writer Kim Eun-hee (Signal, Kingdom), Jirisan features Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon as park rangers who find themselves unravelling the mysteries of Jirisan peak.

Jun’s poster shows her dressed in a firefighter’s jacket with a respirator mask hanging from her ear, and her expression is one of concern. The poster’s tagline, which translates to “Someone’s sending a signal from that mountain”, raises questions as to who that might be. Ju Ji-hoon meanwhile, wears a pained expression for his poster, along with the tagline, “I’m sure that person’s alive” – leaving fans to wonder who this survivor is and how Ju came to know of the person’s condition.

In addition to the stellar cast and crew line-up for the series, Jirisan’s production studio Astory also recently surprised fans by announcing that Jin of Korean idol group BTS is set to sing the series’ main theme song. Astory stated, “The main theme song enables Jin to express his unique voice quality, and fans can expect to enjoy it from midway through Jirisan. A release date for the song will be announced at a later time.” The amazing collaboration of talents on Jirisan will leave fans around the world in eager anticipation of the show’s debut.

Jirisan follows a team of national park rangers who are responsible for search and rescue on Jirisan peak. Experienced ranger (played by Gianna Jun) and rookie ranger (played by Ju Ji-hoon) are set to unravel the dark secrets hidden at the mountain. The iQiyi Original K-series will debut in an exclusive simulcast with Korea on October 23rd on the iQiyi International app and iQ.com worldwide.
