Bad and Crazy Well-Loved Cast Members Proved That They Have Chemistry Both On-screen and Off-Screen
After spending a good amount of time together on set while filming iQiyi’s original series Bad and Crazy, the four leading cast members – Lee Dong Wook, Wi Ha Jun, Cha Hak Yeon and Han Ji Eun proved that they were more than just co-workers in a game show that sought to test their synergies, togetherness and teamwork, recently.
How does the game work? All participants will have to answer questions with two scenarios A or B. Each of them will then have to choose which scenario best fits them and hope the rest thinks the same way too. How do they win? They will emerge winners if they are able to get five unanimous answers.
Equipped with two paddles in hand, each marked with the alphabet A and B respectively, the four eye candies had to reveal their answers using the paddles simultaneously. Getting all pumped and hyped up, Lee started by giving some advice to his fellow cast members. “Let’s read each other’s minds if we want to win the prize. Don’t just insist on your answers,” he said before the first round even begun.
Without missing a beat, Lee, who described his character as a materialistic detective who is always seeking success, immediately tried sending signals to the other members prior to question one being read out. Waving the paddle marked A subtly, Lee tried his best to ensure everyone saw him doing it, but unfortunately, Han chose B instead. She was then teased by the other guys, who tried to make her see that they did drop some hints before answering the question.
The first question went something like this – What will you do on the day of Bad and Crazy’s premiere? The answer was A – to watch it live alone or B – to watch it live with family and friends. Wi, who described his character as a helmet guy with a rough sense of justice, was curious how Han guessed wrong even after he mentioned how he lives alone, while Lee and Cha, who described his character as the youngest police at Sohyang Police Precinct, also said that they live alone too so the answer choice to this was obvious.
After totally missing the cues, Han, who described her character as a police officer full of passion in drug crime investigation, got scared and worried she might not be able to pick up on the signs and signals given by the rest. However, she did not let her nerves get the better of her by finally channeling her thoughts to be in sync with the rest.
In one of the questions, the team were asked to decide if they would like to be Lee’s character Su Yeol or Wi’s character K if they were reborn. With both characters being cops, Wi’s character is one who fights hard for justice while Lee’s character just strives to get promotions and rise to the top. To ensure Han was in sync, Lee tried hinting directly at her. “Alright think for yourself, would you want to live as a crazy guy and be criticised forever as crazy or would you want to live as the bad guy and at least get what u need?” said Lee. All of them answered that they would rather be reborn as the bad guy.
After getting one unanimous answer, the team started jiving better and continued on their lucky streak of getting unanimous answers for a few questions in a row. That was up until Han chose wrongly again to the question – What reputation would you like to earn through Bad and Crazy. The choices given were A – the role of a lifetime or B – a drama that you’ll never get sick of.
Han chose B while the rest chose A. “I thought that if the series went well then we can all be successful together. You guys are slightly individualistic,” she said as a means to defend her answer choice. To which, all the three guys agreed and nodded in agreement to her thought process.
After answering seven questions and getting five unanimous answers, the cast members were surprised with expensive individual gifts that received a lot of oohs and aahs from the floor as they each unwrapped their gifts. Cha was so touched by his gift that it brought tears to his eyes as he unwrapped it excitedly.
iQiyi’s latest original K-series Bad and Crazy that made its debut on 17th December 2021, stars heartthrobs Lee, Wi and supporting cast members Han and Cha. Produced by the team behind The Uncanny Counter, Bad and Crazy promises a drama filled with action, dark comedy, suspense and crime, and is set to take viewers on an entertaining ride. It also tells a story about how the main casts revive humanity.
Lee who plays Ryu Su Yeol, is a police inspector looking to get ahead in life while Wi plays crazy ‘K’, who is crazy yet righteous and not afraid to uphold justice. After shooting to international fame in Squid Game by acting as the cop, Wi’s character strives to fight injustice solely with his fists. Han on the other hand plays a hot-blooded narcotics officer, Lee Hui Gyeom, who is fearless and can throw strong kicks and punches. Cha on the other hand, plays a kind junior police officer O Gyeong Tae, who is courageous and will not think twice when dealing with tough situations.
