10 New Korean TV Series on Netflix to Catch in 2022

There never seems to be enough time to watch all of the K-dramas. However, since Korean entertainment became a global phenomenon, there have been an increasing number of Korean dramas and movies, actors, and articles to watch from top streaming services.

Netflix has already released the first half of this year’s Korean TV lineup, which is good news for those already caught up. Based on the international success of shows like Kingdom, Sweet Home, and Squid Game, Netflix is expanding its focus on Korean themes and stars. From zombie thrillers to heartbreaking romances, these Korean shows on Netflix are a must-see.

‘All Of Us Are Dead’

All of Us Are Dead depicts a group of high school kids who become trapped within their school after a virus epidemic, combining two of K-dramas’ subjects: high school and zombies. In the eight-episode season, the students will find love and friendship amidst the commotion.

‘Forecasting Love and Weather’

Park Min-young, a rom-com queen, and Song Kang, a Netflix regular, feature in this drama about Korea’s national weather forecast service personnel. Jin Ha-Kyung (Park) prefers to separate her personal and professional lives, which has caused her to become estranged from most of her coworkers. However, when she is impressed by the clever new hire Lee Shi-Woo (Song), his free-spirited nature begins to break down her barriers.

‘Twenty Five Twenty One’

This romantic drama also serves as a time capsule, following two young people whose future plans were delayed by the real-life Korean Financial Crisis of 1997. When the two characters, represented by Mr. Sunshine’s Kim Tae-Ri and Start-Nam Up’s Joo-hyuk, reunite for the second time at the ages of 21 and 25, they offer each other companionship and affection as they grow up.

‘Thirty-Nine’

Son Ye-Jin returns with her first drama since Crash Landing on You, co-starring Jeon Mi-do from Hospital Playlist and Kim Ji-Hyun from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. They portray a group of long-time friends, all approaching 40, who set out to attain their professional, family, and romantic aspirations.

‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’

Several popular overseas series have been adapted into beautiful Korean dramas. Money Heist, a Netflix success that just finished its fifth season, will be the subject of the latest Korean remake. Park Hae-soo of Squid Game will play jewel thief Berlin in this new adaptation, which will follow a plot similar to the original but with various twists.

‘Business Proposal’

Based on the popular webtoon The Office Blind Date, this workplace drama stars Kim Se-Jeong from The Uncanny Counter and Ahn Hyo Seop from Lover of the Red Sky. After consenting to go on a blind date as her affluent friend, Shin Ha-Ri (Kim), learns that the meeting is with Kang Tae-Mu, the CEO of her company (Ahn). Kang proposes the following day.

‘The Sound of Magic’

Yoon A-Yi, played by Choi Sung-Eun, a high school student whose parents abandoned her, stars Choi Sung-Eun in this supernatural drama. She currently works part-time jobs to support herself and her sister while studying. She meets a magician (Ji Chang-Wook) one day who gives her a request to travel back in time so she can grow up faster. Hwang In-yep, the breakout star of True Beauty, will play Yoon A-love Yi’s interest.

‘Remarriage & Desires’

The inner workings of Rex, a matchmaking service for ambitious clients who aspire to marry into the ranks of the privileged, will be revealed in this intriguing workplace drama. Remarriage & Desires, starring Kim Hee-Seon from Alice and Lee Hyun-Wook from Strangers from Hell, will focus on the competition between members who desire to marry members of the company’s top social status, the “Black.”

‘Our Blues’

The plot of this romantic drama, which will follow locals on the island of Jeju as they search for love, is mainly unknown. However, the casts are impressive, with Lee Byung-hun from Squid Game, Shin Min-ah from Hometown Cha Cha Cha, and Lee Jung-Eun from Parasite.

‘The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate’

In his next highly awaited drama after Vincenzo, Song Joong-ki will appear in a vengeance story with a fictional chaebol family, owners of a major business empire. After the family frames one of their faithful workers for embezzlement, the worker dies and is reincarnated as the youngest son. So the boy sets out to take over the entire chaebol family for vengeance.

Some internet providers have bundled plan for their internet plans. They usually partnered with top streaming services like Netflix and Dish Network so they can provide more services to their subscribers.
