BTS Breaks Back Into Webtoons With 7Fates
Army is so ready to see the most awaited popular webtoon in Korea by BTS. Members of the group were seen fighting various monsters in 2014 in “We On: Be The Shield.” Naver WEBTOON is a popular publisher for comics and released “Save Me” in 2019. The series featured Jin being in a time loop that he couldn’t escape from, resulting in not being able to get back to his friends until he saved them. The series only had 16 episodes, but it snagged over 50 million views during its time online.
New BTS episodes haven’t been seen in some time. However, viewers don’t have to wait much longer as there’s news that the webtoon could be back for at least a few episodes. Naver has recently announced a partnership with HYBE and BTS. Viewers have been waiting to hear what the merger could mean for episodes especially when it comes to the overall narrative.
Making Announcements
HYBE came before the community during a routine briefing to announce that “7 Fates: Chakho” would soon be released. This is an original webtoon and has been done as a partnership with BTS so that the details that viewers enjoy are still there along with the type of narrative that they enjoy.
Making Tracks
While “7Fates” is webtoon-based, there are some differences that viewers will likely see. It includes a soundtrack of its own that’s been designed by two people who are in well-known bands across the world. The soundtrack is produced by Suga. Jungkook provides the vocals for the soundtrack. “Stay Alive” is one of the songs on the soundtrack and could hit the number one spot with its message and its rhythm. The song and many others on the soundtrack will likely be released on the WEBTOON platform in early February with producers aiming at February 4th as the official release date. Listeners can enjoy the soundtrack on other streaming services by mid-February.
Spreading the Music
A fun feature of “Stay Alive” is that it’s going to be released on a CD. This will be a limited-edition version and will offer prizes to at least 300 people. In order to have a chance of winning the prizes, listeners need to subscribe to 7Fates. They also need to turn on the notifications for the soundtrack and purchase early access to the first three episodes of the comic. Even though there will only be 300 people chosen to win a CD, there are other prizes available for those who subscribe. Listeners need to subscribe for a chance to win by February 5th.
“7Fates Chakho” was seen on WEBTOON in mid-January as a novel. The prologue to the novel can be read for free as well as the first episode. You can read the second episode on the app. However, the premium version does contain a fast pass so that you can skip through parts that you don’t want to read. Wattpad also has the episode available and is told in prose. You can purchase coins to unlock nine more chapters until the final product is released. There are several webtoons that will be released as a partnership with HYBE in January. They can be seen as webcomics as well as web novels. This will be more fun with fast wireless internet providers like HughesNet and MetroNet while reading the webtoon and at the same time streaming BTS music and a chance to win the CD!
Exciting Sounds
The soundtrack for “7Fates” is perhaps the most anticipated part that’s being released. Listeners can hear clips of some of the songs during the promotion of the webcomic closer to the release date for the soundtrack.
The Background
The basis of “7Fates” is a fantasy in an urban world that was inspired by officers who were hunting tigers. The officers were called chakhogapsa, which is where the chakho part of the title comes from along with details from folklore told by those who have passed the story down in Korea. Sin-si is the location for the story and is regarded as a dangerous area. Seven boys are tied to each other and have to overcome some pretty significant hardships in order for the group to progress through the story and break free. Jimin offers more information about “7Fates” as well as other folklore that has been passed from one generation to another in Korea. The characters in the story have to battle beom, which is a tiger. Beom is considered numerous supernatural features that the group has to fight off if they want to survive and if they want to go home to their friends and family. Beom also visits Sin-si to look for humans to add to its collection. BTS members helped to inspire the characters in “7Fates” but have their own unique voices and styles.
