[Event Coverage] CL Sets The Stage On Fire At Good Vibes Weekender 2022, Day 1
The Good Vibes are back again this year with the Good Vibes Weekender 2022 at the Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach. The two day event opens on September 23 and ends on September 24 with 20 great local and foreign acts.
The first day sees the show opened with 30 minute sets by local acts Alex Ungku, followed by Claudia, Midnight Fusic and Dolla. DJs Surf Mesa and Snakehips continued to hype concert goers with an hour set each, and got the party started. The baton was then passed on to alternative English pop duo Oh Wonder who serenaded the audience with songs that were written by experience.
With the crowd heated up, the turn came for Malaysian award winning rapper, singer/songwriter SonaOne and Joe Flizzow to entertain the crowd. The crowd went wild for the duo and sang along.
Next, the lights were dimmed and all eyes were on the stage where a DJ entertained the crowd with a remix of CL’s hits. Several moments later, the dancers got on stage along with CL, and was met with the loudest cheers . CL opened her stage with an amazing performance of her hits including “Spicy”, “Hwa”, and “The Baddest Female”.

The air was sweltering and during a break, CL said “I wish I could take this jacket off, but I don’t wanna get into trouble, so..”. But that did not stop the Queen from continuing to set the stage on fire with performances of “5 Star”, “Chuck”,
“Dr. Pepper”, “Tie A Cherry”, “Lover Like Me” and “MTBD”. She closed the show with “Hello Bitches”.
