2022 MAMA AWARDS: DAY 1 Winner’s List and Highlights

‘2022 MAMA AWARDS’, the World’s No.1 K-POP awards, wrapped up its first night, bringing on stage some of the biggest names in the music scene. The first day of the ceremony themed ‘The world we build together’ was hosted by singer JEON SOMI, revealing the recipients for several awards, including “Worldwide Fans’ Choice”. The award recognizes artists voted by global fans as the trailblazers who led the K-POP trend this past year.
‘2022 MAMA AWARDS’ is just beginning. The second day of the show, which will complete the entire story of ‘2022 MAMA AWARDS,’ will continue tomorrow; this year’s awards show is held at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan and live streamed worldwide via global channels. The red carpet will be broadcast from 4PM (KST) and the award show will go live from 6PM (KST).

The first night presented some of the most iconic stages, including collaborations and spectacular performances that can only be seen at MAMA AWARDS. This year’s lineup included: KARA, HYOLYN, Forestella, Stray Kids, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, DKZ, BIBI, KANGDANIEL, JO1, Kep1er, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, LEEJUNG LEE and Street Man Fighter (*debut order)

– Host JEON SOMI and dancer LEEJUNG LEE teamed up to open the ceremony with their special Worldwide Fans’ Choice songs mash-up performance
– Iconic collaborations included HYOLYN and BIBI’s “youknowbetter“ and “LAW” that drew inspiration from Park Chan-wook’s “Decision To Leave” and an explosive performance by KANGDANIEL and dance crews of Street Man Fighter
– MAMA AWARDS also delivered an unforgettable collaboration stage between the girl groups IVE X Kep1er X NMIXX X LE SSERAFIM X NewJeans that gathered for the first time to perform each of their debut songs “ELEVEN + WA DA DA + O.O + FEARLESS + Hype boy” and continued on with a special performance of “CHEER UP” (original song by TWICE).

– The technology used for Stray Kids of their song a strange incident + VENOM completed the performance with a giant spider that towered over the stage
