New Teaser For Netflix’s The Glory Counts Down To This Year’s Long-Awaited K-Content Finale, A Beautifully Woven Revenge Story
Netflix series The Glory, starring top Korean talents Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-hyun and written by renowned screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Descendants of the Sun), will be unveiled on 30 December. In a newly-released teaser, we get a glimpse of the nightmare Moon Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo) has become when she is consumed by rage against her childhood bullies.
Director Ahn Gil-ho utilises a beautifully monotone scenery that foreshadows the hurtful and vengeful plots that the main character has been planning for her entire life. He said, “The script had a very clear emotional narrative, and it was like reading a well-written novel. I tried to portray and illustrate everything as literally as possible.”
Kim Eun-sook, one of the most prominent screenwriters in Korea, reveals the meaning of the title, “In the case of abuse, the victim loses all the glory and honour as a human. And what they merely want is to get their glory back.”
The teaser ends with Dong-eun saying, “Let’s slowly wilt and die together”, hinting at the extremes she is willing to go to to exact the perfect revenge. The Glory will premiere on 30 December, only on Netflix.
