[Event Coverage] Dazzling Performances By NCT DREAM Keeps Fans Wanting More

Malaysian NCT DREAM’s fans dream came true as NCT DREAM finally had their full fledge concert here in Malaysia. Brought to you by Star Planet and presented by Yes 5G, The Dream Show 2: In A Dream in Kuala Lumpur is the final stop before having their encore in Seoul. Though it was only for one night, it was truly a wonderful memory for the fans.

Fans were enthusiastic, as some were heard to have arrived at Bukit Jalil early in the morning to mingle with other fans and also to collect freebies from fan clubs. Makeup service were also seen all around the arena, with fans dolling up to meet their favourite idols. Most of the fans also abide to the dress code – green shades, an homage to the color of the fandom.

As soon as the stadium lights were dimmed, beautiful colors from the fans’ lightsticks illuminated the arena. 7 DREAMS were shown on the screen, as intro to their concert. Minutes later, MARK, CHENLE, RENJUN, JISUNG, JENO, JAEMIN, and HAECHAN showed up on the stage and started with their performance of Glitch Mode, Countdown (1,2,3) and Sronger.

The boys stopped for a short introduction ment, and dazzled the fans with some memorised Malaysian phrases such as “Apa Khabar, Awak Terbaik and Saya Sayang Awak”.

They then had a short change of clothes and proceeded to perform hits such as My First and Last, Bye My First, and Love Again before giving the stage to the vocal line. HAECHAN, RENJUN and CHENLE serenaded the fans with Sorry, Heart, in contrast with the Rap Unit, who performed an electrifying version of Saturday Drip.

The performances were not only focused on the main and extended stages, but also the side stages when it was fully used during songs including Puzzle Piece, ANL and Chewing Gum.

Fans were more hyped up when Dreamies sang hit after hit from
Ridin’, BOOM, We Go Up and Hot Sauce.

The group kept mentioning that they read all the fan comments and they hoped that next time, it will be a two day concert.

The boys continued with My Youth and said goodbye to the fans. Fans kept seated and shouted for “Encore” and “Candy”. Seconds later, the boys showed up again and closed the show with the much awaited Candy.

Finally saying goodbye, the boys each said their thanks to the fans and promises for a better show in the future.
