Featuring seven emotional tracks perfectly suited for autumn, the EP displays D.O.’s renowned singing skills, highlighted by ‘Somebody’. The single effortlessly blends folk and pop influences, allowing D.O.’s heartfelt emotions to radiate through the acoustic guitar melodies. The lyrics express an individual’s yearning to meet someone who wholly accepts them for who they truly are.
Ahead of the release, D.O. teased the album by releasing a music video for the album track ‘I Do’ on 8 September. The animated visual builds upon the music video for D.O.’s 2019 single ‘That’s Okay’ and portrays a story of lovers creating happy memories together under the starry night sky.
“Expectation” is D.O.’s latest solo EP since his 2021 project, “Empathy”. Featuring the single ‘Rose’ – with lyrics written by D.O. himself – “Empathy” was praised by fans and critics worldwide, and topped iTunes Top Albums Chart in nearly sixty regions around the world. In addition to music releases, he has expanded his career as an actor by participating in several movies and TV dramas, being recognised for his solid acting skills and box office power.
On top of D.O.’s solo activities, EXO recently released their long-awaited seventh studio album, “EXIST”. The catchy single ‘Cream Soda’ hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, with additional album tracks occupying spots 2-4.
