[Event Coverage] Mark Tuan Shows His Other Side At KL Asia Tour
Mark Tuan, the fourth member of Got7 (after Youngjae, Jackson and BamBam) who finally visited Malaysia as a soloist, as part of his ‘The Other Side’ Asia Tour. A day before the concert, Mark held a short Press Conference at Pavilion KL where he was greeted by fans who were eager to see him ahead of his concert.
“I believe it has been too long since I was here. The last time was for a fan meet? And I remember shooting the video for ‘A’ here and I get to meet the fans who were at the scene” said Mark when asked about his memory of Malaysia.
He also mentioned that he remembers that Got7 as a group was supposed to perform in Malaysia back in 2020, but had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. “I think the rest of the members will come here too. Thank you for supporting our solo careers.” He also mentioned that it’s not impossible for Got7 to regroup and hold a concert in Malaysia in the future.

On the day of the concert, Mark performed songs from his albums ‘The Other Side’ and ‘Falling’. He admitted that ‘The Other Side’ was made when he was in the ‘Emo’ phase.
‘I wanted “Falling” to be a little bit upbeat and not so emotional. I’m still gonna write more emotional songs as I have a little emo kid inside of me”.

Though not as chatty as the other Got7 members, Mark managed to add some Malay words in each of his interactions with the fans. Ahgases (Got7 fandom name) went crazy when Mark used the word “Sayang (dear in Malay)” when addressing the fans.

The performance at Zepp KL was fully supported by a trio of live band and Mark’s two dancers. “Are you tired of having to stand throughout the show?” In which the fans replied NO and continued singing along to each and every song.

A short while after the show ends, Mark participated in a Goodbye event with the fans – where fans were seen showing their creative ways of greeting Mark. The event closed with group and solo photo opportunities for lucky fans.
Truly a night to be remembered by Ahgases or IGot7. Manifesting for more shows from the other Got7 members or a full group concert.
