[Event Coverage] Another Year, Another Epik Time with Epik High
As promised to the fans at their last concert in Malaysia back in 2022, Epik High returned to rock the stage last Friday at the HGH Convention Centre in Sentul. They thrilled the thousands of High Skool fans who gathered with a powerful setlist of 24 hot songs. The concert kicked off strong with “Pretty Much+Antihero,” bringing loud screams from the crowd.
The nonstop music continued with hits like “Fly,” “No Thanxxx,” “One,” and “Kill This Love,” along with tracks from their new album, “PUMP.”
As expected by all High Skool fans, Tablo, the group’s spokesperson (and most fluent English speaker), introduced DJ Tukutz and Mithra Jin on stage playfully. Epik High’s introductions are always entertaining and amusing, bringing loud laughter from the audience. Tablo praised Malaysian fans for their love, hospitality, and local food, describing them as friendly and beautiful.
The crowd was incredibly energetic, and the concert reached new heights when Tablo decided to interact with fans in the middle of the crowd. Standing on a chair in the m, he engaged with fans throughout “Rain Song.”

Epik High ended the show with “Home Is Far Away.” But as usual, even that wasn’t enough for the fans. The High Skool shouted “ENCORE” for several minutes, urging Epik High to return to the stage. And YES! They came back to perform “Born Hater” and “Don’t Hate Me,” officially closing their The PUMP Tour Asia 2024 in Kuala Lumpur.
To summarize, it was a fantastic night. We were blessed to be part of the magnificent performance with a marvelous crowd. We couldn’t thank the organizers, CEOMAN Event Sdn Bhd enough for inviting us to experience another successful event! Thank you!
