[Event Coverage] INFINITE’s ‘Limited Edition’ in Kuala Lumpur: Heartwarming Moments and Unforgettable Performances

On a memorable Saturday, INFINITE celebrated their 15th anniversary with a “Limited Edition” concert at Mega Star Arena, Sungei Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur. The venue was packed with enthusiastic INSPIRITs, many dressed according to the event’s theme, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere.

One of the most touching moments occurred as the Maghrib prayer time approached. Muslim fans respectfully took a break to perform their prayers, while non-Muslim fans graciously made space and facilitated their fellow attendees. This display of unity and respect was truly heartwarming to witness.

The concert kicked off at 8PM with powerful performances of “Last Romeo,” “Paradise,” and “The Eye.” During the initial ment, Nam Woo Hyun, standing in for leader Kim Sung Gyu, conveyed sincere apologies for his absence. Sung Gyu was unable to attend due to the recent passing of his sister. The entire arena observed a moment of silence to honor her memory.

A highlight of the night was the members’ special solo performances, exclusively prepared for the concert attendees. Sung Jong surprised the crowd with his rendition of “Monster Time,” complete with an energetic water performance on stage, playfully drenching himself.

INFINITE showcased their versatility as each member delivered stunning vocal performances. L impressed with his high notes in “Shot,” Dong Woo captivated the audience with his piano skills and smooth vocals, Nam Woo Hyun performed Sung Gyu’s solo track “Kontrol,” and Sung Yeol sang L’s “What’s Not To Love.”

During the second ment and encore, the members reprised their solo performances, creating a lively and chaotic yet entertaining segment. The members seemed so comfortable with the crowd that they forgot that they were in Malaysia, and that the majority of the crowd could understand them. The translator couldn’t even finish translating and they kept talking with the fans in Korean.

The Malaysian INSPIRITs impressed the group with their loud and accurate fan chants. The members were amazed at how well the fans knew the chants, and the fans replied that they had learned them from online videos. INFINITE were impressed!

INFINITE’s signature playful interactions with their fans were in full swing. They expressed their sadness at the thought of parting, and gave the fans sweet words like “Don’t like anyone else, okay?” and “INSPIRIT is INFINITE’s beloved.”

The group’s fan service was exceptional, as they took the time to sign merchandise and interact with as many fans as possible. They repeatedly apologized for the long wait since their last visit to Malaysia and promised to return more frequently.

A fun segment involved the members playing a game to select a member for a freestyle dance. Dong Woo was the first to be spared, and his over-the-top reaction was hilarious. Although Sung Yeol was initially chosen, all the members ended up joining in for the freestyle dance.

During the final ment, Dong Woo inadvertently revealed details about their upcoming comeback song and choreography, prompting Sung Yeol and Sung Jong to join in with impromptu dance moves. L and Nam Woo Hyun could only smile at their members’ antics.

Sung Yeol checked on the fans in the Rock Zone, and when they jokingly complained about sore legs, he laughed understandingly, acknowledging their shared age. Before the encore, the audience participated in a karaoke session, singing along to INFINITE’s hits like “Be Mine,” complete with fan chants.

It was reported that some INSPIRITs who couldn’t secure tickets gathered outside the venue to sing along. This demonstrated the dedication of the fans. Hopefully, INFINITE will fulfill their promise to return to Malaysia soon.

A big thank you to the organizer, Star Planet, for bringing INFINITE to Malaysia! We look forward to the next concert with full members!
