WayV (SM Entertainment) will return on 10 August with its eighth mini album, “Vision Wings”. Featuring seven tracks spanning multiple genres, the project includes both the Chinese and English versions of the title track, 鸢 (Vision Wings)’.

Arriving eight months after the group’s winter special album,白色定格 (Eternal White)”, Vision Wings” draws inspiration from a collection of Chinese words that share the same pronunciation while carrying distinct meanings. These include “鸢,” meaning kite or hawk; “源,” meaning origin; “圆,” meaning wholeness; “元,” meaning beginning; “愿,” meaning wish; and “园,” meaning paradise. Each serves as a thematic foundation for an individual track, weaving together a story about the values, aspirations, and inner drive that continue to drive WayV forward.

WayVs previous release, 白色定格 (Eternal White)”, topped both QQ Music’s overall Digital Album Sales Chart and EP Chart in China, earned a Gold Album certification on the platform for surpassing 250,000 yuan in sales, and reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in nine regions, while landing in the Top 10 in 15 regions worldwide.

Ahead of the album’s release, WayV will take the stage at Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage in New York’s Central Park on 2 August, continuing their global momentum before ushering in the “Vision Wings” era.

Physical versions of WayV’s eighth mini album, Vision Wings”, are now available for pre-order through online and offline retailers worldwide.

About WayV
WayV (威神V) is a unit of NCT, SM Entertainment’s global K-pop group and brand, recognized for pushing creative boundaries with multilingual releases, dynamic performances, and a growing international fanbase. Comprised of five members—KUN, TEN, XIAOJUN, HENDERY, and YANGYANG—the group has established a strong presence across Greater China since its debut in 2019, while continuing to expand its global reach through standout releases including “Love Talk,” “Kick Back,” “On My Youth,” “Give Me That,” and “BIG BANDS.” WayV made an immediate impact with their debut mini album, Take Off, which topped the iTunes charts in 30 regions. Later that year, “Love Talk” became the first song by a Chinese group to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. Their first studio album, Awaken The World, further demonstrated their popularity in China, with all 10 tracks entering the Top 10 of QQ Music’s Rising Chart. In 2024, WayV made history with “Give Me That,” becoming the first group composed entirely of Chinese members to earn a Korean music show win. Their mini album FREQUENCY went on to reach the Top 5 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 17 countries, as the group embarked on their first concert tour, 2024 WayV Concert [ON THE Way], spanning 20 shows across Asia. WayV carried that success into 2025 with their seventh mini album, BIG BANDS, which reached the Top 10 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 16 regions. They closed out the year with the winter special album 白色定格 (Eternal White), which topped the chart in nine regions and reached the Top 10 in 15. Ahead of the release of their eighth mini album, WayV will take the stage at Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage in New York’s Central Park, continuing their global momentum ahead of their highly anticipated return.
