Organised by FriedRice Entertainment, the 8PM concert marked JANNABI’s first show in Kuala Lumpur and one of the final stops of their inaugural Asia tour. Led by vocalist Choi Jung-hoon and guitarist Kim Do-hyung, the band arrived with a catalogue celebrated for its nostalgic lyricism, retro-inspired sound and emotionally rich storytelling.

The tour concluded in Jakarta on 23 August 2026, just two days after the Malaysian concert.

Each stop was designed to create a meaningful connection with the local audience. JANNABI incorporated unique elements into different shows, including translated lyrics, varied setlists and performances of songs familiar to fans in each location.

The Kuala Lumpur show developed an identity of its own through the energy of Malaysian JanFans. Their Korean sing-alongs, enthusiastic reactions and unprecedented request for a second performance made the evening feel like more than another stop on the tour.

It became a genuine dialogue between the performers and the audience.

Reflecting on the completed Asia tour, Choi Jung-hoon expressed his gratitude to the fans who had waited for JANNABI in every city. The overwhelming response showed that the band’s music had travelled much further than they might once have imagined.
