“YG Treasure Box” New boy group to debut under YG Entertainment

On October 29, 2018, YG Entertainment announced there will be a new boy group that will be created though a survival program called “YG Treasure Box”. “YG Treasure Box” stands for YG artists who are jewels locked in a box and does not come out much. Filming started in November 2018 and there is already 10 episodes released under “YG Treause Box” Youtube channel and V Live.

The program includes 29 male trainees from ages 14 through 19. Some trainees are some who were not revealed and some were such as, Bang Ye Dam. The new boy group to debut will be selected by talent and visual. Originally Yang Hyun Suk mentioned the new boy group will be a 5 member group and later revealed it will now be a 7 member boy group.

6 members of the new boy group have been announced. The first 4 members to be revealed are Haruto, Yedam, Jughwan, and Junkyu. Jeongwoo being the 5th member and Jaehyuk being the 6th. The 7th member and final member will be revealed on January 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. KST!
