At least people would remember me as someone who was trying his best,” Rain confessed. However, something stopped the singer/actor/ entrepreneur from ending his life – marriage. “I just couldn’t die before getting married! Not done yet: Rain isn’t going anywhere until he gets married “I always thought I was a strong person, but the depression that came over me at that time was just too much,” he revealed. Did MBC axe Rain’s performance?
Apparently, Rain (27) requested that his performance at the Incheon Korean Wave Festival be axed from the programme. Rain took the final stage during the concert, which was held on Sept 5 at the Incheon World Cup Stadium. However, when the MBC network broadcasted the show yesterday (Sept 12), Super Junior was shown closing the event instead. MIA: ‘Whaddaya mean I won’t get on TV?’ Axed?: ‘Who’d want to snip out thislovely footage of me?’ Many fans are curious about the missing footage but a representative of MBC’s Show! Music Core said: “Rain’s performance wasn’t removed, he just didn’t want it to be broadcasted, and that is why it was not shown on TV this afternoon.” I don’t buy that. Rain kicks off Legend of Rainism tour in Japan
Yes, Rain’s on the road again! The 27-year-old Hallyu star is currently on his Legend of Rainism tour, which kicked off on Aug 29 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. Legend?: Rain all dressed for…erm, rain. His latest show boasts an asymmetrical stage, a live band (as opposed to minus-one tracks) and of course, nifty dance moves. The star also pays tribute to the late King of Pop by singing Billie Jean complete with the signature fedora and smooth dance. After all, Rain has always said that his dance is inspired by Michael Jackson. Tribute: ‘Hee hee! Ooh!’ While Rain’s 2007 I’m Coming World Tour was an explosive and energetic extravaganza (trust us, we were there!), expect to see a softer side of the singer as he slips in a “romantic segment” in his current repertoire. Love song: Rain serenades his fans with ballads Rain’s two-and-a-half hour show sees the Energizer Bunny belting out 25 numbers, including encores! Rain cancels Shanghai concert
Oh dear, what happened? Well, I don’t feel so bad being Malaysian now – you know, the country where Kpop concerts are cancelled at the last minute? It could be that K stars are fussy pots after all. What happened?: Why didn’t the show go on? Korean superstar Rain (real name Jung Ji-hoon) axed his Shanghai concert, which was supposed to be held on Jan 10. His company, J-Tune Entertainment only released an official statement on the matter on Jan 13. The reason given for the cancellation is that basic preparations are not even ready. Hmm, sounds familiar, huh? Hasn’t Rain been quoted as saying that he would perform even if there were no stage and only ONE person in the audience? Didn’t he say something like that during the cancellation of his Los Angeles concert? Anyhoo, the J-Tune representative realises that the cancellation is an inconvenience to the Chinese Cloud but Rain’s Asia Tour is scheduled to go on, thus there will be ample opportunity to meet Rain. Wrong. Not all fans have the time or money to stalk the superstar and be at all the venues he performs at. Rain, we love you but give us underdogs a
