[Event Coverage] Apink Reigns Supreme in Kuala Lumpur At Anniversary Celebration with MY Pandas
K-pop legends Apink successfully brought their 8th concert series, [The Origin: APINK], to Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysian Pandas ensured their 15th-anniversary celebration was one for the history books.

The Mega Star Arena was transformed into a glowing sea of pink as fans, many of whom had waited eight long years for the group’s return to Malaysia, packed the venue armed with their “Panda Bongs” (light sticks).

The night kicked off with a massive wave of nostalgia. Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, Namjoo, and Hayoung made their entrance with their iconic “pure-concept” hits, performing “NoNoNo,” “BUBIBU,” and “MY MY.” The crowd sang along to every word, proving these tracks remain definitive K-pop anthems.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Apink’s dramatic transformation into their alter-ego, “A-Green.” Shedding their soft image for a sophisticated “girl-crush” aesthetic, the group stunned the audience with a powerful cover of TVXQ’s “Mirotic.” They kept that high energy going with sleek performances of “Fizzy Soda” and the synth-driven hit “I’m So Sick.”
Apink didn’t shy away from connecting with the local crowd, showing off their impressive command of Bahasa Melayu. The members frequently chatted with the fans using phrases like “Janji” (promise), “Jerit” (scream), and “Hebat” (amazing), drawing massive cheers for their effort to embrace Malaysian culture.
The group then moved into a string of mega-hits, including the rhythmic “LUV” and the fan-favorite “Mr. Chu.” They also treated the crowd to a performance of their latest track, “Love Me More,” perfectly bridging the gap between their storied past and their current era.

The emotional peak of the night occurred during the encore. Malaysian Pandas prepared a surprise tribute video documenting 15 years of shared memories, which moved the members to tears. Eunji was particularly overcome with emotion, weeping openly as she thanked fans for their unwavering loyalty and for waiting nearly a decade for their return.

To end the night on a high note, Apink performed “Up To The Sky,” turning the arena into a party one last time and promising a swift return to Malaysia. It was truly an incredible and emotional night, cementing Apink’s status as second-generation legends who still own the stage.

We would like to thank T-rex Studios for the invitation.
