B.A.P is First K-pop Act To Perform in MTV Sessions on September 11
MTV have announced that six-member boy band B.A.P (which stands for Best, Absolute, Perfect), will be the first K-pop act to be featured in its music series MTV Sessions!
The group, consisting of Bang Yong Guk, Zelo, Him Chan, Dae Hyun, Young Jae, and Jong Up will perform a number of songs specially selected for the live recording set to take place on Thursday, September 11 at 8pm at Resorts World Sentosa’s Waterfront Studio and passes for the recording will be given out on MTV’s website from Saturday, August 9.
MTV Sessions: B.A.P premieres on MTV Asia on Thursday, September 25 at 7pm (WIB), 8pm (SG) and 9pm (MAL) with additional content available at www.mtvasia.com/mtvsessions.
MTV Sessions: B.A.P will be their second MTV performance after they held their first live recording in MTV’s iconic Times Square studio for B.A.P Live in NYC in May last year. This will be B.A.P’s fourth visit to Singapore after they performed a concert in May as part of their B.A.P Live On Earth 2014 Continent Tour which saw them play 20 concerts in four continents Europe, Oceania, America and Asia.
“We are really thrilled to return to Singapore for MTV Sessions! Unlike the concerts we’ve held, this is going to be a different experience for us and the fans because it’s an intimate performance where everyone can see us up close and interact with us,” says Zelo.
From August 9 till August 29, fans who wish to catch the live recording of B.A.P’s exclusive showcase on September 11 can visit www.mtvasia.com/mtvsessions to take part in an online contest to win passes.
MTV Sessions is recorded live in front of a 200-strong studio audience. It is a series of music shows that allow music lovers the rare opportunity to watch the latest and upcoming international and regional artists showcase their craft live in an intimate setting.
Besides performing their own songs, the artists also perform covers and remixes of their favourite songs produced exclusively for MTV. Fans get to learn more about the work and life of these artists who will share their music and personal stories in MTV Sessions which follows a casual and revealing style.
