K-POP soloist BUDY shows the live version of the song “Sound Like”

Aiming to connect digitally with the audience, the singer performed the hit and shared experiences about the inspiration for the song.

Surfing on the renaissance of 70s and 80s songs, BUDY released on Thursday (14) the live performance of Sound Like. The video was shared on her official YouTube channel and is part of BUDY studio LIVE, series of seven videos that aim to connect with the audience offering a welcoming experience, despite the social distancing imposed by the pandemics.

Including parts in rap and funky instrumentals, Sound Like was released in 2019 as part of the singer’s debut album, Budy’s Midnight, and preceded the revival of musical concepts of the 1970 and 1980. BUDY wrote and produced the song that brings a reference to the rhythm popular in discos. The singularity of her productions crowns the artist as one of the most prominent talents of the independent scenario.

The performances of BUDY studio LIVE aim to bring an intimate feeling and revise the singer’s past works with exclusive comments about the backstage and creation process. The project started in December, and three songs are already on YouTube: Do Re Mi, Fly High, Stray Cat, and Hey U. The next videos of the series will be released on Thursdays, at 9 PM (KST) until the end of January 2021.

BUDY made her solo debut in 2019 under Slow Town Music label and is known for her writing and arrangements. The singer increases her fanbase daily thanks to her deep lyrics and her ability to recreate covers of k-pop hits in rhythms such as  R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Funk. The artist recently drew the attention of Latin American fans, which made her cover hit songs such as Mexican group RBD’s Sálvame and Brazilian singer IZA’s Dona de Mim.
