[Event Coverage] CNBLUE Rocks Kuala Lumpur With Their 3LOGY Tour
CNBLUE, the South Korean pop-rock trio – Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, and Lee Jung-shin brought their highly anticipated CNBLUE LIVE (3LOGY) tour to Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysian BOICE proved that their love for the band has only grown stronger over the years.

The energy was electric from the start. CNBLUE showed up on stage with a powerful instrumental introduction and kicked things off with a high energy opening set, performing “Ready, Set, Go!”, “Catch Me”, and “Racer”. The live band sound was impeccable, immediately reminding everyone why they are the kings of the Korean rock scene.

The band then transitioned into some of their most infectious hits, including the iconic “Intuition”, followed by “Low Key”, “99%”, and “Bliss”. With 3Logy being the 3rd year consecutively for CNBLUE’s concert in Malaysia, and Jung Yong-hwa’s solo concert last year, the members showed how they have become familiar with the fans. Taking a moment to breathe and talk to the fans, the members expressed how much they missed the fans and spoke in Bahasa Melayu with Kang Min-hyuk saying “Saya rindu awak” (I’ve missed you) and “terima kasih banyak-banyak sebab enjoy the show dengan penuh semangat (thank you so much for enjoying the show with such passion),”.

The night was hot (what with the heat wave we’re having) but CNBLUE was hotter, that even Yong-hwa had to stop and took off his jacket. Bottles of water were consumed but it didn’t quench their thirst and yes, BOICE was amazing that night. He didn’t shy away from trying several Malay phrases, even saying cheekily, “Belum penatkan?” (You’re not tired yet, right?) to the fans.

They kept the momentum going with the rock anthems “Domino” and “Radio”, before the entire venue erupted into a massive sing-along with acoustic classic hit, “LOVE”. Showing their versatile side, the set moved into a more soulful, melodic segment. Not forgetting to keep eye contact with the fans, the group performed “Little Things”, “The Temperature of Memory”, “Then, Now and Forever”, “Still, a Flower”, and the dreamy “To The Moon And Back”.

The raw vocals and instrumental precision during these tracks resonated with the fans. Yonghwa expressed his excitement and praised Malaysian fans with “Bagus” (good) and their favourite word from the previous concert “Mantap!” (amazing). He also promised that the band would continue to bring even more in the future.

As the night reached its peak, CNBLUE turned the heat back up. The crowd went crazy for “Between Us”, the BOICE anthem “I’m Sorry”, (admin had fun screaming “Are you crazy”) and “Killer Joy”, leaving everyone breathless and wanting more.

Of course, the night couldn’t end without an encore. The trio returned to the stage to perform a mashup of their legendary debut “I’m a Loner” and “You’re So Fine”. They followed up with “Again” and “Anthem of Life”, before finally bidding a bittersweet farewell with the beautiful “A Sleepless Night”.
Seeing CNBLUE perform in Malaysia once again, proved that they are master performers, even casual rock listeners would be a fan and start jumping around with them. Whether it’s a hard-hitting rock track or a delicate ballad, their talent is undeniable, and their connection with Malaysian BOICE remains as tight as ever. Truly an unforgettable night of music and a memory that will be talked about amongst fans until the next concert.

We would like to thank CK Star Entertainment for the invitation.
