The second and final night of the inaugural AsiaTop Music Festival drew thousands of fans to the Sepang International Circuit on Sunday. Day 2 brought together eight acts spanning South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia, culminating in a headlining set by SEVENTEEN’s sub-unit CxM.
Day 2 opened with performances from Uriah See and Firdhaus Farmizi, two regional acts tasked with warming up what would become an increasingly energetic crowd.
Butterbear – Thailand’s viral sensation whose bear mascot persona has amassed a global following on social media. Butterbear drew attention at the festival with a playful and visually distinctive presence covering songs like ‘Golden’ adding a fun and unique element to the overall lineup.
Next up was 82MAJOR, a kpop scene that brought a dynamic edge to the night , representing the current wave of newer K-pop acts looking to establish a foothold alongside more veteran names on the bill.
Girl group STAYC delivered a set that showcased the range of their catalogue. With catchy opening that always made the crowd chanting together, STAYC demonstrated versatility at the festival, moving between high-energy tracks like ‘ASAP’ and ‘teddy bear’.
CRAVITY, known for their performance-driven concept, added intensity to the night’s proceedings. Upon hearing the race cars running on tracks, CRAVITY members cutely mimicking the sound of race cars making their fans laugh and loving their adorable side that lifted up the venue.
TWS brought a youthful charm to the festival by singing their debut song and dancing to the fans most anticipated song ‘overdrive’. That night the whole crowd sang a birthday song for Youngjae and he commented being lucky to have celebrated his birthday together with the Malaysias fans.
The night’s headline slot belonged to CxM, the sub-unit consisting of SEVENTEEN members S.Coups and Mingyu. CxM closed out the festival as SEVENTEEN’s powerful duo unit, drawing among the loudest crowd responses of the evening. They performed a total of 12 songs, making Malaysian fans that waited for the duo worthwhile.
Day 2 reflected that ambition, assembling a geographically diverse lineup under one roof.
